Chapter 283
Fabian and Anissa x defeated eyes finally lit up at Sadie’s passionate declaration this moment, she seemed to glow with purpose.
Watching her, Louisa felt her own sadness lift, replaced with a surge of pride.
“What is it?‘ Sadie asked, noticing Louisa’s expression.
Louisa smiled. ‘Nothing. Just realizing what a total badass our Sadie Watson real is.”
‘You know it! Sadie tossed her head proudly.
Julian couldn’t help but laugh, thinking how nice it would be if his Louisa had the same boldness to talk tough.

Louisa heard his laugh and turned to him. “Julian, you’ll help Mark too, right?”
More practical than Sadie, Louisa knew that justice alone wasn’t enough against wealthy opponents and could bring Sadie a lot of trouble. With Julian’s
help, things would go much more smoothly.
Julian looked into her hopeful, expectant eyes and ruffled her hair. “Yes. Happy now?”
“Thank you!” Louisa’s eyes sparkled brilliantly.
Julian smiled affectionately, then turned to Fabian and Anissa, his voice returning to its usual cool tone. “Sadie is right. You can trust her this time. The law
will give you justice.”
Fabian and Anissa nodded repeatedly, so moved they were on the verge of tears again.
Afterward, the group left Anissa’s home and headed straight to the police station
Julian had already met with the police chiefs of both Silverlight City and Virella Highlands. He had conveyed Anissa’s position: without a guarantee of
complete fairness, she would never hand over the evidence.
At the same time, Julian had subtly made his own position clear. The evidence would be backed up with relevant agencies, and if the police chiefs
mishandled the case, Julian would have higher authorities deal with them. Both hiefs would likely be demoted.
Being shrewd officials who had navigated the waters of power for years, they understood Julian’s message perfectly, breaking into a nervous sweat. They
knew Julian absolutely had that kind of influence.
So an agreement was reached–if the evidence was sufficient, Vivian would be arrested immediately.
Meanwhile, Vivian remained blissfully unaware of all this.
At the hospital, both Vivian and Becky had regained consciousness.
Learning that Vivian was still alive, Becky had fallen into despair again. She lay
her hospital bed refusing food and water, simply waiting to die.
In another room, Vivian lay with bandages around her legs and arms. As the anehesia wore off, she was in agony, angrily throwing tantrums.

Lily tried to calm her. “Stop making a scene. The police are already asking questions.”
Hearing this, Vivian panicked. “What about the body?”

“They couldn’t find it somehow, Lily whispered. “We don’t know who moved it, but that’s good news. Just stick to your story that everything you told Becky was nonsense. I’ve already arranged things at the police station. It’ll be fine.”
Vivian finally relaxed a bit.
But thinking of Becky, her face twisted with viciousness. “That bitch Becky, setting me up, trying to kill me. I’ll kill her. I’ll chop her body into pieces and
feed it to the dogs.
And that slut Louisa, does she think catching me red–handed will let her steal George from me? She’s dreaming! I’ll make her die even more horribly than
Becky!”
She screamed hysterically.
Lily was frightened by her outburst and quickly covered her mouth. “Keep your voice down. And you absolutely cannot go after Louisa again.”
“Why not? What are you afraid of? Can’t the Price family take down some woman from the slums?” Vivian asked resentfully.
“You don’t understand. There’s something dangerous about Louisa. She’s terrifying, ruthless.” Lily leaned closer. “Think about it–Becky drugged her, but she didn’t pass out, which means she saw through Becky’s act from the start.
And she arrived at the orchard at the same time I did. I suspect she came to Vire la Highlands ahead of time to catch us in the act. But how could she have
known in advance?”
At this point, Lily suddenly thought of George. Could George and Louisa be working together?
Vivian noticed her mother’s grave expression. “Mom, are you hiding something from me?”
Lily looked at her daughter with furrowed brows. Yes, she hadn’t told Vivian that George had been there too. She feared Vivian would lose her mind if she knew George had been present but deliberately chose not to save her.
Just as Vivian was about to press further, the hospital room door was suddenly fling open.
It was Caden.
He strode in, his face dark with fury. He was already exhausted from running the Price Group and dealing with business obligations every day. Not only did his family fail to share his burdens, they constantly created problems.
Yesterday he had rushed to Virella Highlands on an emergency to bail out his mother, only to discover that she and his sister had been arrested for murder
and concealing a body.
He had been shocked, almost unable to believe his cars. Before, he’d simply thought Vivian was the spoiled youngest daughter, pampered by their parents, a bit arrogant and willful, doing crazy things for George.
That had seemed bad enough. But this was beyond anything he’d imagined.
Vivian had actually killed someone in high school?
Caden approached the bed, his eyes cold with barely contained rage. “Tell me the truth. Is the Mark story real? Did you kill him?”

Chapter 283
Lily couldn’t meet her son’s blazing eyes and kept her head down, saying nothing
Vivian pouted, also silent.
From their expressions, Caden instantly understood. It was all true. Nobody was falsely accusing them.
Caden felt as if the sky was falling. Even now, they didn’t think they’d done anything wrong?
Vivian snorted, still self–righteous. “So what if we killed him? It’s his fault for being so stubborn, refusing to-

Unable to contain himself any longer, Caden slapped Vivian across the face, roaring, “How can you be so casual about this? This is murder! MURDER! This was a living, breathing human being!”
