Chapter 310
George clenched his fists.

Two hours earlier, he’d received photos of his mother having sex with her “pretty boy.” He never imagined that after finally using Julian to send that devil Vivian to prison, he’d have to deal with Lorelei–an even more terrifying woman.
When Vivian wanted her freedom back, the Price family couldn’t deliver. So they sold Lorelei the secret about Hazel secretly raising a pretty boy. Lorelei was using this to blackmail George.
George couldn’t let his mother’s secret reach his father. If his father’s mistress and illegitimate son moved in, George’s already difficult position would become impossible. So he had no choice but to come.
He sat across from Lorelei, his face cold. “What exactly do you want from me?”
Lorelei ignored his attitude and turned to her daughter. “Angelina, isn’t this young man handsome?”
Angelina had been staring dreamily in Julian’s direction. Now that she could no longer see him, she turned back disappointedly, looking
somewhat confused.
George was initially annoyed by Lorelei’s question, but then he noticed Angelina’s face. This girl’s features–how did they somewhat
resemble Louisa’s?
Lorelei asked her daughter gently again, “Angelina, don’t you think this man is handsome too?”
Angelina nodded. But then she added quietly, “But I still like that other man better. He’s more handsome.”
Lorelei sighed silently, troubled.
The coldness in George’s eyes intensified: What was Lorelei up to? Was he some kind of merchandise for them to evaluate?
Meanwhile, Julian’s group had reached the restaurant entrance,
William invited Gareth to sit in his office for a while.
Before Gareth could respond, Nicholas leaned in close to Julian’s car with a smile. “Julian, I want to visit your office too. Maybe take a nap
together.”
That comment earned him a murderous glare from William.
Nicholas quickly backed down. “OK, OK! I won’t go, alright?”

Then he leaned in again and whispered to Julian: “Pretty clever move, right? That’s all I can do to help you guys. The rest is up to you. And… my sister, I’m trusting you with her.”
That last sentence was suddenly serious, tinged with sadness.

Julian didn’t speak, just gave him a look that only the two of them understood.
William, witnessing this, was so angry his mouth twisted. Right in front of him, that brat Nicholas was embracing his son? William couldn’t take it anymore. He swung his fist, ready to punch Nicholas.
Nicholas released Julian and dodged quickly. Despite his size, he was surprisingly agile, easily avoiding the blow. William couldn’t land a
hit.
While dodging punches, Nicholas blew Julian a kiss. “Julian, I brought you a surprise this time. You’ll see when you get back. Wait for me,
okay? I’ll come see you when I return. We’ll go on vacation together.”
“Get lost!” William took off his shoe and hurled it at Nicholas.
Louisa watched in amazement. This was the first time she’d seen the legendary chairman’s explosive side. Quite thrilling.
Teddy, who was walking in from outside, picked up the shoe and brought it to William.
Julian said calmly, “Put your shoe back on.”
William grudgingly put it on and left with Gareth.
Nicholas had already departed.
Only Julian, Louisa, and Teddy remained.
Julian told Louisa, “Wait for me in the car.”
Louisa nodded and headed to the parking lot outside.
In the open parking lot, Noah sat on the steps, eating bread in the sunshine, looking completely at ease. Beside him lay a dog, equally
lazy. Noah occasionally said something to it, but the dog ignored him, seeming quite arrogant.
Louisa initially thought it was just a stray dog and didn’t pay much attention. But as she got closer, she realized it was a purebred golden retriever. Its golden fur was clean and silky, gleaming in the sunlight.
This was surely a premium specimen, wasn’t it? Not something an average person could afford–typically found in wealthy households.
Louisa asked curiously, “Noah, where did the dog come from?”

Before Noah could answer, the dog lifted its eyes and gave Louisa a cool, handsome look.
Louisa fell silent. What was that about? Was it looking down on her?
“It’s a gift from Mr. Getty,” Noah explained. “Don’t be so casual about calling it, Louisa. It’s pretty smart. Its name is Satan.*
He rubbed the dog’s head. “Right, Satan?”
Satan gave him the same dismissive look.
Louisa couldn’t help laughing. Apparently, what you called it didn’t matter.
She glanced at the bread in Noah’s hand. “Got any more food?”

“Last one,” Noah said, holding up his bread. “Didn’t you just have lunch with Julian? How are you still hungry?”
“Don’t even ask,” Louisa sighed, too exhausted to explain. She was starving. Damn Julian. She’d repeatedly said she didn’t want to go, but
he insisted. Then he wouldn’t let her eat anything–just made her watch while everyone else ate. It was infuriating.
Noah was about to say something else when he noticed her mask. “Why are you wearing a mask?”
Louisa didn’t feel like answering that question either.
Since no one else was around, she took off her mask. Surprisingly, the previously aloof Satan, upon seeing her face, seemed transfixed. It
slowly stood up and walked toward Louisa.
Noah watched in shock. “What the hell! Is this dog a pervert or something?”
Was it really standing up just because it saw a pretty woman?
Satan approached Louisa with elegant, determined steps, raised its front paw as if greeting her, then hugged her leg and nuzzled against
Louisa wasn’t normally afraid of dogs. That time she climbed a tree in fear was because that dog had been aggressive, looking ready to
attack. But Satan showed no signs of aggression. Still, its behavior confused her.
She looked at Noah, bewildered. “What is it doing?”
*Seems like it thinks you’re its master,” Noah explained.
Louisa was even more perplexed. What was happening? Nicholas’s gift to Julian was choosing her as its owner? The whole situation felt
strange to her.
Shortly after, Julian returned.
