After the Affair Falling into a Billionaire's Arms novel Chapter 314

Chapter 314

Louisa had just been going along with the conversation, but now, backed into a corner, it seemed like she had no choice but to address

the issue.

She’d heard before about certain toysthat could help women meet some of their physical needs.

Maybe she should try that?

Rachel, sensing her thoughts through the phone, laughed cheerfully. Look at youyou’re a previously married woman! Taking care of physical needs is completely normal. Why are you being so shy about it?

How about I take you shopping? You don’t have experience with this stuff. You need to know what you’re buying, especially for something going inside your body. We should get highquality products.

Louisa’s face instantly turned crimson. Even through the phone, her heart pounded wildly, making her feel like she was about to commit

some kind of crime.

But then again, ignoring these urges could lead to health problems. Maybe after addressing these issues, she wouldn’t have those

inappropriate thoughts whenever she saw Julian.

With this realization, she steeled herself and replied with grim determination, Okay, it’s settled then. Let’s go shopping tonight. Dinner’s

on me.

Rachel couldn’t hold back anymore and burst into laughter. Aren’t you a little too eager? Fine! Fine! It’s a plan! I’ll have the shop owner

send you some photos first, and we’ll go shopping after dinner.

After ending the call, Rachel quickly sent her the restaurant location. Louisa didn’t look at it right away. Her face was still burning hot.

Thankfully, no one was home. Waitexcept for the dog.

Louisa turned toward Satan, only to discover that the usually lazy dog was now looking at her curiously with his head tilted.

What are you looking at? Stop staring!she snapped, giving his head a light smack before heading off to shower.

After her shower, she changed into a khaki midi skirt and a light blue blouse, with subtle makeup, Her halfdried hair fell loosely around

her shoulders. She looked youthful and somewhat artistic.

There was still plenty of time before she needed to leave.

But was it appropriate to leave the dog home alone? She’d heard Golden Retrievers could be destructive. What if it tore up her place while

she was gone?

Maybe she should drop the dog off at Julian’s? Although she didn’t understand why the dog had followed her home in the first place, Nicholas had given it to Julian, so Julian had some obligation to look after it, right?

That’s what she’d do.

She leashed Satan and went to knock on Julian’s door. Bob answered.

Louisa didn’t enter, just stood in the entryway, glancing around the living room but not seeing Julian anywhere.

Bob asked, Louisa, are you looking for Mr. Tudor? He’s in his study. I can call him.

No need,Louisa said, holding the leash awkwardly. I have to go out and I’m worried about leaving Satan alone. Would you mind looking

after him for a while?

Is that all? Sure, leave it to me, no need to be so formal.

Without hesitation, Bob took the leash and pointed to two large bags nearby. Mr. Tudor just had me pick these up from the storedog

bed, dog food, toys, and all the essentials Satan might need. Go ahead and enjoy your evening. I’ll even give him a bath. Come on, Satan.

Bob walked off with Satan, who seemed perfectly comfortable with him, not acting shy at all.

Louisa felt a pang of guilt. She’d been so caught up in playing with Satan that she hadn’t thought about buying these necessities. Julian

had been quite thoughtful. Maybe she should thank him?

As she was considering this, she failed to notice someone approaching from behind.

Julian silently moved behind her, bending down to whisper near her ear: Just showered?

His low, slightly husky voice sent shivers down her spine, making her knees weak. Louisa’s heart skipped a beat as she quickly turned

around, stepping back.

Julian’s tone carried a hint of resignation. Why so nervous? Afraid I’ll eat you alive?

Louisa thought to herself, I’m afraid I’ll force you to sleep with me.

Julian glanced at her outfit. Going somewhere?

Yes, I’m meeting Rachel for dinner, she replied, feeling guilty and avoiding his gaze,

Julian examined her with puzzlement. If it’s just dinner, why are you so nervous? Planning to rob a bank on the way?

Of course not!Louisa immediately protested, her words coming out faster than usual.

Julian chuckled softly. Ms. Forbes, did you know that suddenly speaking faster is a sign of guilt?

Louisa fell silent. Damn, had this man studied psychology or something? How did he know what she was thinking? She glanced at him

quickly, avoiding eye contact, just wanting to leave as soon as possible.

Unfortunately, her phone chose that exact moment to chime repeatedly, as if someone had sent twenty messages all at once.

Julian’s gaze deepened. Your phone seems quite busy.

Louisa was annoyed toowho would send her so many messages at once? Suddenly, Rachel’s words echoed in her mind: I’ll have the

shop owner send you some photos.

Oh no!

Louisa’s mind went blank. Seeing Julian approach, she didn’t have time to think and immediately clutched her phone to her chest.

Julian frowned. What’s going on? Let me see.

No! You can’t look!Louisa protested. She held the phone tightly against herself, terrified he might take it.

Meeting Julian’s penetrating gazeeyes that seemed capable of seeing through everythingshe tried to explain calmly, It’s just a private

conversation with my friend. It’s too personal to share.

Julian’s expression cooled. Private matters? How private? Did someone catch you disposing of a body and now they’re blackmailing you?

Louisa was speechless. Her boss was a master of sarcasm, and she had no comeback. Worse still, her phone kept chiming with new

messages that wouldn’t stop.

Louisa was on the verge of a breakdown. How many new models did they need to send her? She wasn’t restocking inventorythey didn’t

need to send her everything!

Julian’s expression grew even colder.
