Unlike his previous kisses, this one was fierce and brutal, carrying a hint of punishment–like Julian wanted to devour her completely.
Louisa was stunned by Julian’s aggression. Who did he think he was? Since when could he just kiss her whenever he felt like it?
She pushed against his chest, trying to break free.
Julian released her lips but kept his arms firmly locked around her waist. Their eyes met, and for a second, everything froze. Then his lips
claimed hers again.
This time, the kiss was deep and passionate.
Louisa felt herself surrendering. Her hands, initially pressed against his chest to push him away, unconsciously moved to encircle his neck
as she responded to his kiss.
Time seemed to stand still.
When she finally felt she couldn’t breathe anymore, he released her lips, and she gasped for air.
Julian rested his forehead against hers, staring at her flushed lips. His voice was husky: “Your cooking is terrible–I never lied about that.
But I don’t want anyone else’s food. I want yours.”
Louisa’s knees went weak. What exactly was Julian saying? Was he talking about food? Or was he talking about her? Her brain was short- circuiting as she felt his warm breath against her face.
Julian tightened his arms around her waist, and as his lips approached hers again, she quickly placed her hand between them. “Don’t.”
Instead of kissing her again, Julian cupped the back of her head and pulled her against his chest. His burning lips pressed against her ear.
‘Not angry anymore?”
Louisa wasn’t sure how to respond. She hadn’t really been angry to begin with. They weren’t in any kind of relationship, so she had no right to be angry with him. At most, she’d been slightly uncomfortable.
But somehow, he always seemed to sense her moods with perfect accuracy, apologizing at just the right moment.
This feeling of being cherished was completely new to her. Even George, during their most passionate days together, had never loved her so unconditionally, so attentively. She felt lost.
Suddenly, Satan’s bark erupted from inside the apartment.
Both Louisa and Julian froze. “What’s happening?” she asked, looking at him.

Chapter 317
‘Let’s check. Julian took her hand and they went inside.
:
What Louisa saw made her blood run cold. The bag she’d hidden under the table had been dragged out by Satan. The little toy she’d
stuffed behind the throw pillow had also been discovered by the dog, who had accidentally hit the power switch.
Now, the dolphin–shaped blue toy lay on the floor, vibrating continuously.

Satan, not understanding what this strange object was, stood barking at it as if confronting some dangerous creature.
Louisa wanted to die on the spot. Coming to her senses, she rushed to cover Julian’s eyes. “Don’t look! Don’t look! You’re not allowed to
see this–go away!”
Julian stated calmly, “I’ve already seen it.”
His words hit Louisa like a thunderbolt. She dropped her hands and closed her eyes in despair.
Julian spoke again: “But I’m not sure what it is. Perhaps you could enlighten me?”
Louisa remained silent. Like hell she would.
She cautiously opened her eyes to see Julian crouching down to pick up the dolphin–shaped toy.
Louisa wanted to crawl into a hole and disappear. She attempted to explain, ‘It’s just a small massage device for muscle pain–you know,
for arms, shoulders, back…”
She was completely bullshitting, and Julian nodded with an amused smile. “Indeed, sounds very convenient. Quite powerful for its size.
Small, but well–crafted.”
He was clearly holding back laughter. He knew exactly what it was and was just teasing her.
Realizing she’d been played, Louisa decided to own it: “Yes, I bought a sex toy. So what? I don’t go to clubs, I don’t sleep around. I take care of my physical needs in a clean, private way. Is that a problem?”
He’d seen everything anyway. If he wanted to laugh, let him laugh. She braced herself.
But the mockery she expected never came. Instead, Julian pulled her into his arms. He looked down at her, his voice deep and gentle: “You’re absolutely right. No problem at all. Those people out there definitely aren’t clean, so…”
“So what?” Louisa met his intense, burning gaze, her voice trembling slightly.
Julian lowered his head, brushing her lips lightly with his. “So, would you like to try with me instead? I should provide a better experience
than that little dolphin.”
His words exploded in Louisa’s mind. Her face burned hot as her heart raced. She felt like her brain cells were short–circuiting.

Chapter 317
…
:
Julian didn’t give her space to think, continuing to kiss her tenderly and passionately.
Lost in the moment, but before completely losing her senses, Louisa finally managed to ask, ‘No strings attached. Is that okay?”
She had to ask. This was non–negotiable. Otherwise, once everything happened, there would be endless complications. She needed clarity.
Julian paused his kisses, those all–seeing eyes studying her. Was Louisa really as timid as she seemed? From where he stood, she seemed
pretty bold.
Louisa felt his momentary silence, her tense heart suffering in the pause. If he said no, she would push him away immediately. Pretend
none of this ever happened.
But Julian spoke: “Deal.”
Louisa was stunned. Was he really this agreeable? Was this even the real Julian? Would he cause trouble for her after they slept together?
She needed to be sure, so she asked again: “You’re serious? I really don’t have to commit to anything?”
Julian nodded. “Really. You can follow your own desires. Everything will be on your terms, whatever makes you comfortable. I respect you.”
Louisa thought to herself: ‘But this feels wrong somehow.‘ Doing this made her feel like she was using him–like she was the player.
But he was being so reasonable, she couldn’t argue. “Thank you for understanding.”
Julian smiled. “I respect your wishes, but shouldn’t you also respect mine?”
She knew Julian wouldn’t be that easy to deal with. Louisa’s internal warning system sounded again as she asked weakly, “What do you
mean?”
