Chapter 324

Louisa gave up trying to explain and focused on her food instead.
Halfway through dinner, Sadie brought up Vivian. ‘Louisa mentioned the Price family found some hotshot to help Vivian. I called Ms. Lewis to warn them, and Louisa arranged for extra security, but still…”
“No need to worry, Noah cut in confidently, “Mr. Tudor already sent me to check things out. That Lorelei person didn’t accomplish anything. Vivian has already confessed and is sitting in detention waiting for sentencing.
“As for Anissa and Fabian, we also arranged for extra bodyguards. It’ll be fine.”
“What do you mean she didn’t accomplish anything? Sadie asked. “Did she try to help and fail, or not try at all?”
“She met with Vivian once and then left, Noah explained with a shrug. I’m guessing she couldn’t help. With the evidence they have and Vivian being a repeat offender, unless someone breaks her out of jail, she’s not going anywhere.”
Sadie nodded. “So Lorelei isn’t as scary as we thought.”
“I certainly didn’t see what the big deal was, Noah said dismissively.
Louisa frowned. “But I heard she’s still in Silverlight City. If she’s not helping Vivian, why stay? Wasn’t that her whole purpose for
coming?”
“Who knows?” Noah replied.
“What about Caden? Is he back? Louisa pressed.
“No, he’s still in Virella Highlands. Looks like he’s given up on Vivian and is focusing on helping his mother instead.”
Sadie seemed relieved by this news, but Louisa remained troubled. She couldn’t figure out why Lorelei would still be hanging around.
Julian spoke quietly. “She has her own agenda. Don’t overthink it. You can’t apply normal logic to someone like her.”
Louisa realized he had a point and relaxed, returning to her meal.
Jacob and Noah had already polished off their spicy beef stew and were sweating profusely. Why anyone would want something so hot in this weather was beyond her.
Jacob went to the balcony and took off his shirt to cool down. Noah, seeing this, yanked off his own T–shirt and tossed it aside. Both young men had impressive physiques with well–defined muscles.
Louisa and Sadie couldn’t help glancing their way, eyeing first one, then the other.

Chapter 324
“Ms. Forbes, Julian’s soft voice slid into her ear, whose muscles do you find more appealing?
Louisa’s brain short–circuited. His friendly tone was laced with dangerous undertones.
Oh no! I think I lost my contact lens, she exclaimed, ducking her head. Sadie, help me look! I can’t see anything!
Julian watched her ridiculous performance without comment.
Sadie was mortified. What a terrible excuse–how was she supposed to back that up?

“Mr. Tudor,” she said with an awkward laugh, our Louisa has terrible vision without her contacts. She’s practically blind. Don’t mind her
Julian responded with a cold, silent smile.
Teddy and Noah were completely lost, while Jacob remained oblivious on the balcony. “So refreshing out here!” he called, now wearing
only shorts as the night breeze ruffled his hair.
With his clean–cut features and youthful body, he was the picture of carefree youth.
“Ah, to be young again,” Teddy sighed, then immediately regretted it when he glanced at his boss.
Julian sat perfectly composed–shirt buttoned to the collar, not a hair out of place, expression calm. Not a single drop of sweat. Only his
eyes betrayed him, radiating silent menace.
Teddy shivered involuntarily.
“Don’t say that, Mr. Young,” Sadie tried to help. “You two are only about ten years older than my brother. That’s not old at all.”
Teddy started sweating. Why did she say “you two“? Her attempt at damage control was making things worse.
Noah, completely oblivious to the tension, joined Jacob on the balcony to compare muscles. “Jake, your muscles need work. Look how solid mine are! He flexed and bounced around to demonstrate.
‘How do you get them like that?” Jacob asked admiringly.
‘Free climbing! I’ll take you sometime.”
“Uh, that’s okay…”
‘Don’t be scared! A real man challenges himself.”
Noah launched into a monologue about his training regimen while Jacob listened helplessly.
Inside, two men in business suits sat listening in silence, alongside Sadie who was openly enjoying the show, and Louisa who had
