Chapter 337
Louisa’s grip tightens around her coffee cup.
She’d been staring out the window.
The moment George finishes speaking, she turns to look at him, her gaze turning razor–sharp.
69
Then, before George has any chance to defend himself, she throws the entire cup of coffee directly into his face.
The surrounding breakfast patrons freeze in shock, all eyes turning toward them.
Yet George shows no sign of anger whatsoever. He simply pulls out several napkins and methodically wipes away the coffee dripping down
his face.
Then, under everyone’s stunned gazes, he slowly smiles again–as if he wasn’t the one who just got drenched.
But Louisa’s still not satisfied. She hurls the cup itself at his face.
George tilts his head slightly, dodging it.
Louisa’s icy stare bores into him. “George, should I thank you for going out of your way to tell me I’m destined never to have someone
who’ll love me forever?”
George meets her gaze.
But his tone remains calm. “You keep talking about love, but what is love? Love is understanding. It’s acceptance.”
“You always say you did nothing wrong–that it was all my fault.”
“But in reality? I made one mistake that every man makes, and you just walked away. You didn’t give me a single chance to make things
right.”
“The fact that you could leave so easily–doesn’t that prove you’re more cold–blooded, more ruthless than me?‘
*During those ten years we were together, were you really loving me the whole time?”
‘If you truly never had thoughts about anyone else, would you have fallen into Julian’s arms so quickly?”
*You always say he’s better than me–better in every way. But let me tell you, Louisa–ten years is a long time. Julian might not treat you
as well as I did back then for ten straight years either!”
His arguments sound so righteous. By the end, he’s shifted all the blame onto her again.

Chapter 337
Louisa can’t be bothered arguing with this type of person anymore.
She stands and walks toward the exit.
But after two steps, something occurs to her.
(69
She turns back, walks up to him, and looks down at him from above. “Julian IS better than you! A thousand times better. Ten thousand
times better! Because no matter how well you treat a woman, it doesn’t prove you’re a good person! But Julian is inherently a good
person. Compared to him, you’re trash!”
With that, Louisa leaves without looking back.
George doesn’t chase after her.
Louisa gets into her car and pulls out her phone.
She wants to message Julian, ask if he went to see that little fool last night.
But after composing the message for ages, she still hasn’t sent it.
She could defend Julian so firmly in front of George because she believes Julian wouldn’t do something as despicable as George.
Julian has his principles and boundaries.
But there’s one thing George said she can’t refute.
The question of her and Julian’s future.
She and Julian can never truly be together long–term.
If that’s the case, why even send this message?
Better for everyone to stay dignified. She should keep her heart in check, too.
At this thought, she smiles bitterly and deletes the unsent message.
She’s about to put her phone down when-
A message appears like a ghost:
[Don’t want to come over? Should I deliver it to you instead?]

Chapter 337
Julian’s message floats into the chat window, light as air.
Staring at it, Louisa’s breath seems to stop.
After a long moment, she finally replies: [Thank you, Mr. Tudor. I’m already at the office.]
After sending it, she tosses her phone aside.
Another ten minutes pass before she finally starts the car and drives to work.
Little does she know, a hundred feet behind her car sits a black Rolls–Royce.
Noah’s in the driver’s seat.
Julian occupies the passenger seat.
They personally witnessed Louisa exit the breakfast shop.
Not long after, they watched George emerge as well.
When Louisa sent Julian that message, he was sitting in the car watching hers.
She can eat if she wants. Avoid him if she wants. Meeting George isn’t necessarily a problem.
So why did she lie and say she was already at the office?
Right now, the atmospheric pressure inside the car couldn’t be lower.
Noah feels like he’s about to catch hypothermia. He steals a glance at his boss’s icy profile, that tense jawline.
Noah tries to explain on Louisa’s behalf. ‘Mr. Tudor, maybe they just happened to run into each other. I don’t think Ms. Forbes would do
anything to betray you.”
Julian gives him a fleeting glance.
Noah grins awkwardly,
Julian: “Call Teddy. Have him bring Satan down to the office.”
