After the Affair Falling into a Billionaire's Arms novel Chapter 344

Louisa’s mind was in turmoil.

What had started as something between her and George had dragged Julian in.

But after Julian arrived, why did she get the feeling this had turned into a battle etween George and Julian?

Glumly, she wrapped her arms around Julian’s neck and mumbled, Since he invited you, you decide.

Julian’s lips curved in a remarkably benevolent smile. If you ask me, let’s go. Mr. Capulet is fixated on this. If we don’t go and he does something drastic,

we’ll be caught up in a wrongful death lawsuit.

Louisa fell silent.

When it came to vicious words, who could compete with Julian?

Julian turned to George. If Mr. Capulet wants to go, let’s go. Take my carit’s more spacious.

Without waiting for George’s response, he carried Louisa toward his vehicle.

George followed with a dark expression.

Teddy stood by the car door, opening the back seat while eyeing George warily.

After Julian settled Louisa inside, he climbed in after her.

Only then did Teddy extend his palm toward George. Mr. Capulet, after you.

George had no choice but to take the back row.

Teddy got into the driver’s seat and closed the door.

Julian: Let’s go. To that school.

Teddy immediately started the car.

The drive to the school wasn’t far.

But no one spoke, George stared fixedly at the two people in front of him, his fierce gaze as if trying to bore two holes through Louisa’s back.

Louisa felt an eerie chill creeping up her neck.

Julian remained perfectly relaxed, draping his arm over the seat behind Louisa, selding her.

Teddy, in the driver’s seat, wasn’t so lucky. He didn’t dare breathe too loudly, feeling like this wasn’t a road to a school but a highway to hell.

Fortunately, they soon arrived at the campus.

It was Tuesday evening, and students were still quietly studying in the library.

George had contacted the dean in advance, so the duty teacher let them through opening convenient access.

Chapter 344

By now, night had fallen

The treelined paths at night lacked their daytime freshness. The vintage building and towering trees merged into one, creating an eerie atmosphere

Combined with the chilling tension in the car

h really did feel like descending into bell

Louisa and Teddy shivered simultaneously.

Julian noticed and removed his suit jacket, draping it over Louisa’s shoulders.

Louisa looked up and smiled at him. Thank you.

This made George in the back row look particularly like a villain.

But he wouldn’t back down, speaking up ominously. Louisa and I used to walk this path every day.

The comment was clearly directed at Julian

Julian laughed elegantly. What, did the other students master the art of teleportation and skip this path

George fell silent.

Don’t get angry. Don’t get angry.

He took a deep breath and continued. What I mean is, Louisa and I were each other’s first love. We started loving each other back then.

Julian: I can tell Mr. Capulet has run out of tricks. All that’s left are memories.

George fell silent again.

Neither looked at each other, but their verbal jabs filled the air with invisible blades and ghostly winds

Louisa and Teddy’s thoughts: What a terrifying atmosphere.

Too scary.

Suddenly, a bark echoed through the car: Stop the car!

Teddy’s hand trembled, the car shuddering with it.

But he didn’t stop.

Because the command hadn’t come from his CEOit was George.

Louisa jumped at the sudden outburst, turning to glare coldly at George. Georg can you not have a meltdown? Don’t forget what you promised the teacher. This is a school, not the Capulet Group. Can you not act like a child who hasnt been weaned?

George looked somewhat wounded, his tone softening considerably. I want to out and walk. Come with me. I can carry you on my back. There’s a ginkgo grove right ahead. Do you remember? We used to-

Louisa cut him off. I don’t remember the past, and there’s no we.

Chapter 344

In her heart, George had long been dead.

George felt the sting of her words. Louisa, how can you be so heartless toward me?

He reached out, trying to grasp her shoulder, wanting to see if she was truly as cruel as her words suggested.

However, just as his hand was about to touch Louisa, Julian intercepted it.

Julian gripped George’s hand, his voice cold in reminder. Mr. Capulet, do I need to remind you? You personally turned the person she loved most into the

person she hates most. When will you learn to accept reality?

George’s temper flared. He yanked his hand away forcefully.

Julian’s hand hit the window with a sharp sound.

Louisa’s heart clenched. She immediately grabbed Julian’s hand, turning to scold George. George, what did you say when you got in? Didn’t you say one loop

and we’d leave? Haven’t I come in with you? Can you as a man keep your word? you dare get physical again, get out!

George fell silent, looking aggrieved.

Julian, meanwhile, watched Louisa charge into battle for him, his eyes and brows7lit up with amusement.

Louisa didn’t notice.

Her attention was entirely on Julian’s hand, checking both palm and back. Fortunately, he wasn’t injured.

She gently rubbed it twice and asked, Does it hurt?

It does.

With that single word, the car fell eerily silent again.

George thought: Pity play. All fucking pity plays.

Teddy thought: This movemy CEO wins completely.

Though thinking about it, George’s temper was truly frightening.

Compared to George, his boss was so much better.

At least Julian was caustic, yes, but emotionally stable. He never got physical, rarely even lost his temper.

Terrifyingly stable, in fact.

George also realized he’d made a wrong move.

This wasn’t the development he wanted.

He’d wanted to return with Louisa to where their hearts first fluttered, to recapte their beautiful memories together.

He didn’t believe she could truly be so stonehearted.

But all his plans had been unknowingly sabotaged by Julian

Chapter 344

George held in his frustration, looking out the window.

By now, the car had passed through the treelined avenue.

George glanced outside and spotted an artificial lake. Something suddenly occurred to him, and he insisted that Teddy stop the car.

Teddy had no intention of complying

Julian said, Stop the car. This is the last place on campus. If Mr. Capulet has any final wishes, speak now. Otherwise, we’re turning around.
