A shriek pierced through the living room.

The two people lost in their kiss on the sofa both startled.

Julian immediately tugged Louisa’s shirt down and looked coldly toward the entrance.

Louisa quickly buried her face in the sofa cushions.

This was so embarrassing.

She could never show her face again.

At the entrance stood a woman in a leather mini skirt.

Her hair fell to her waist in a long, straight princess cut with pink streaks framing her face – a sweet and edgy look.

She stood about five feet eight, with eyes shaped remarkably similar to Julian’s. Absolutely stunning.

After her shriek, faced with Julian’s terrifyingly cold expression, she flashed a placating smile. “Julian, I didn’t mean to. Have mercy.”

Louisa was dying of embarrassment, hiding behind Julian’s back, but she waved toward Amelia’s direction in acknowledgment.

Amelia suppressed a laugh. Her future sister–in–law was adorable.

She really wanted to see what her future sister–in–law looked like.

Unfortunately, under Julian’s death glare, she didn’t dare look anymore. She made an apologetic gesture and prepared to leave.

Julian’s throat tightened as he pulled her waist into his embrace.

Like she could say no. As if Julian would give her a chance to refuse.

The next second, he’d pressed her back down onto the sofa.

By the time they left the villa, evening had fallen.

Yesterday, she’d driven Julian’s car back, leaving hers in the train station parking lot.

Now that Teddy had retrieved it for her, she felt somewhat embarrassed like all those private things she and Julian had done were being witnessed.

Teddy didn’t think anything of it.

In his eyes, Julian and Louisa were a match made in heaven.

On the drive back, Teddy drove up front.

Julian worked on his laptop, handling business.

He’d been away from the office all day – work had piled up.

Louisa slumped weakly in her seat, completely drained.

She had zero energy left. It felt like Julian the incubus had sucked all her life force away.

Julian kept glancing at her, finally pulling her into his arms to let her rest against him.

Teddy, driving up front, caught the scene in the rearview mirror: Too beautiful. Should he just crawl under the car?

Halfway home, Teddy suddenly remembered something. “Mr. Tudor, Mr. Moss called me today. Said he tried calling you, but you didn’t answer. Nothing urgent – he just wanted to invite you and Louisa to dinner.”

“Why me too?”

Louisa was startled.

Julian: “So he wants to poach my people?”

Teddy smiled. “That’s what I gathered. This project will probably attract industry attention in the next few days. Your proposal was so bold, so risky, and most importantly – it paid off.”

Rodney was getting up there in years. His later–stage decisions tended toward caution and stability. He hadn’t had this kind of thrill in ages – of course, he’d be excited.

Julian showed little emotion, but when he looked at Louisa, his eyes held undisguised admiration and tenderness. ‘Looks like it’s time.”

Louisa’s brain was foggy. She asked in confusion: “Time? Time for what?”
