Chapter 379
Julian’s tone was casual, as if he were discussing something utterly trivial
Louisa froze slightly but said nothing, continuing to eat her cracker, though her movements had clearly slowed.
Julian continued, ‘I got the bracelet back and returned it to my mother.”
This time, Louisa couldn’t maintain her composure.
She whipped her head around to look at him, shock in her eyes.
Julian’s tone remained bland as he gestured at her cracker. “Keep eating.”
Louisa fell silent.
Could you take back a gift you’d already given?
That didn’t fit the domineering CEO persona at all.
But then the second half of his statement registered.
She looked at him again, repeating uncertainly, “You said… You returned i to your mother?”
‘Yes.”

Julian answered matter–of–factly. “I told her she has four sons. She can give this daughter–in–law a gift to any of the other three, but she can’t
give things away in my name without my consent.”
“What?”
Louisa’s eyes went wide with shock.
Each statement was more explosive than the last.
She was too stunned to speak.
Julian remained completely casual, taking the cracker from her hand and pening a package of ham for her instead. “Eat.”
Louisa was silent.
How could she eat now?
Thinking he might have laid everything out for his mother, her voice tremled slightly. “What… what did you say to her?”
Julian pressed a light, gentle kiss to her lips. ‘Don’t be scared. I didn’t say much. I just smashed the bracelet in front of her.”
Louisa completely lost her calm.
Smashing a family heirloom was way more terrifying than saying nothing at all.

She glared at him. Why would you smash it? That II only make your mother think I’m the one causing your rift with the family. She’ll resent
me even more and think I’m seducing you.”
Julian smiled. ‘Are you afraid?”
“What?”
Louisa didn’t immediately grasp what he meant.
Julian asked, “Didn’t you say you don’t see me as your boyfriend? Why would you be afraid of her misunderstanding you?”
Louisa was at a loss for words.
She really hadn’t thought about marrying him.
Since marriage wasn’t in the picture, she really didn’t need to be afraid.
Julian watched her in silence, the light in his eyes dimming.
He reached over and took the shopping bag from her lap, placing it in the back seat.
Then he lifted her onto his lap, holding her as he spoke slowly. “Our Louis is quite the heartless woman. If they accuse you of seducing me again, just tell them you’re only playing around with me.”
Louisa’s mouth twitched. “I wouldn’t dare be that bold.”
Julian gently stroked her hair, kissing the corner of her lips. “It’s fine. You can be even bolder. After all, our Louisa is a rich and beautiful little heiress. You don’t need to be afraid of anything or carry so much psychological burden.”
“If anyone bullies you, just tell me. I’ll handle them for you.”
Louisa couldn’t speak, her heart softening under his kisses.
Before, George had said the same thing–that he’d be with her no matter what.
His parents had eventually agreed.
Now it was Julian.
Perhaps Julian’s parents would agree too.
But so what if they did?
Any so–called victory would only be what they considered victory. In the d, she would never be the winner.
Whatever.
Given how proactive he was, how confident, how could she bear to dampen his spirits?
She tilted her head up, wrapped her arms around his neck, and initiated a iss.

Chapter 379
Julian’s arm around her waist gradually tightened as he turned passive to active, returning her kiss.
The frustration and gloom that had plagued him all day completely vanished in that moment.
Louisa sensed his excessive enthusiasm and especially joyful mood.
Turned out Julian was easy to appease too, like a child receiving candy.
They kissed passionately, inseparably.
Finally, Louisa simply straddled his lap.
Face to face, breathless, she pressed her forehead to his and murmured, Julian, I like you.‘
The sudden confession stunned Julian.
He seemed profoundly shaken, staring at her unblinkingly, stars twinkling in his eyes.
Louisa smiled and added, “Very much.”
The next second, her soft red lips descended again, kissing him boldly.
How could she not like him?
Someone so wonderful.
The temperature in the car shot up.
Her body bloomed for him like a delicate flower.
Julian was shocked by her sudden passion.
He let her do as she pleased, reaching out with one hand to close the windows.
The beach was nearly deserted now. Even if someone passed by, all they’d see was the dark privacy film–nothing inside visible at all.
Louisa leaned over Julian, removing his clothes.
Julian held her tightly, kissing her.
Their fingers intertwined.
Their bodies became one.
Louisa moved freely atop him.
Each time, he reached the deepest part of her.
The tide rose, waves rolling.
