Chapter 380
By the time they got home, the sky was already brightening.
Julian drove while Louisa sat in the passenger seat, drowsy.

Julian reached over with one hand to gently rub her head. “You really have the heart to leave me driving alone? Keep me company, talk to me.”
Louisa shifted position, tilting her head toward him and forcing herself to stay alert. Go ahead and talk. I’m listening.”
Julian said, “Teresa’s been demoted. She has to move to the Team Seven Leader’s office now. You can’t stay there anymore–you’ll need to make
room for her.”
It took Louisa a moment to process, her foggy consciousness clearing slightly. “I’m making room for her? Where will I work?”
Julian asked, “That’s the question. Want to move to her office?”
Teresa had been using the Director’s office. By rights, Louisa should move here.
Louisa thought for a moment. “Can I not move there?”
Julian agreed without hesitation. “Sure, you don’t have to move there. But you do need to make room for Teresa.”
Louisa asked, “Then where will I work?”
Julian replied, “Let me think…”
“You take your time thinking.”
She dozed off again in her drowsy state.
Twenty minutes later, they arrived at the garage below their building.
Julian turned off the engine, turned to stroke her hair, and kissed her. “I’ve got it. How about moving to the 36th floor?”
In her groggy state, Louisa’s mind wasn’t functioning–she didn’t register at the 36th floor was where he worked.
She said irritably, ‘Just decide this kind of thing yourself.”
Julian’s lips curved in a triumphant smile. ‘So you’re agreeing?”
Louisa nodded drowsily. ‘Yes, I’m agreeing.”
Satisfied, Julian kissed her lips once more, then unbuckled her seatbelt and carried her home.
After a whole night of intense activity, Louisa slept deeply, not waking un after ten in the morning
Seeing the time on her phone, she bolted upright in bed.

Chapter 380
Oh no, oh no–she was late for work.
And her alarm hadn’t even gone off?
She had no idea why her alarm had failed.
Whatever.

She quickly got up to wash up, brushing her teeth while checking her phone for any work messages.
A message from Julian popped up: [When you wake up, don’t rush. Go next door–I had Bob save you breakfast. Eat first, then come to work.]
The message had been sent at seven, and there were no calls, just this one text.
Louisa understood–Julian had turned off her alarm, wanting her to sleep until she naturally woke.
Warmth filled her heart.
But how could she possibly go next door to eat?
After washing up, she changed clothes, applied simple makeup, and left without eating.
By the time she reached the office, it was nearly noon.
She immediately dove into intense work.
When everyone else went to lunch, she stayed behind, needing to catch up on the morning’s work she’d missed.
Then, while she was absorbed in her work, Teddy arrived.
He brought two staff members with him.
The workers held cardboard boxes, saying they’d come to move things.
To move Louisa’s things upstairs.
Louisa frowned and stopped them. “Hold on, don’t move anything yet.”
She was the Investment Director–leaving the Investment Department to move to Julian’s floor, what would that look like?
Wouldn’t that blatantly announce to everyone that she and Julian had a relationship?
Besides, it would make work inconvenient.
The workers didn’t dare disobey her and immediately stopped what they were doing.
Seeing this, Teddy looked troubled. ‘But Mr. Tudor said you agreed.
Louisa fell silent.

Chapter 380
Who discusses this kind of thing when someone’s half asleep?
Julian had clearly done it on purpose.
She sent the two workers out, preparing to call Julian.
Teddy said, “He’s in a meeting. Even if you call, no one will answer.”
Louisa’s hand paused, her frown deepening.
She hadn’t seen any sign of Teresa either.
She asked Teddy, “Where’s Teresa?”
Being demoted two levels in a row–that huge drop would be uncomfortable for anyone, wouldn’t it?
Teddy replied, “I don’t know either. My guess is she went to see the Chairman’s wife.”
After all, with such powerful backing, who wouldn’t use it?
The Tudor Manor.

Teresa had been sitting in the living room crying all morning.
No matter how much Adeline loved this goddaughter, even she was getting a headache from all the tears. “I told you to stay calm, didn’t I? But what did you do? You went straight to Louisa to show off. I’ve already forcibly kept you in the Investment Department. If I interfere in your work matters again, Julian will definitely be displeased.”
Teresa sobbed, “But he’s demoted me to Team Leader. I’m a Director doing Team Leader’s job–what will people think of me?”
Adeline had been afraid to upset her and hadn’t mentioned last night’s events.
Now, Adeline had no choice but to tell her.
Adeline sighed helplessly. “If you provoke Louisa again, forget Director–y won’t even be able to keep your Team Leader position.”
Teresa looked at Adeline in disbelief. ‘Mom Adeline, Julian wouldn’t do th to me, would he?”
