Chapter 404
The more Louisa thought about it, the more convinced she became.
Otherwise, Julian wouldn’t be this angry.
An inexplicable frustration welled up inside her. Grabbing a tissue
box, she yanked out several tissues in succession, each time using
excessive force.
When Julian emerged from the restroom, this was the scene that
greeted him. His eyebrows rose involuntarily. Was she… angry?
She’d been so calm and rational just moments ago. Why was she mad
now?
Wasn’t that quite the delayed reaction?
He walked over. She didn’t even notice.
Julian took the tissue box from her hands and set it on the desk,
pulling out a couple to wipe the water droplets from his face.
Only then did Louisa snap back to reality, her eyes meeting his.
Julian leaned against her desk, studying her with his deep gaze.

“What are you thinking about?”
“Nothing.” Louisa denied it without hesitation.
What man would honestly admit to cheating?
Better not to ask.
Julian watched her for a long moment.
At such close range, his freshly washed, handsome face still carried a
hint of clean fragrance.
Louisa felt momentarily dazed.
Julian didn’t press further. Instead, he said, “Ms. Forbes, let me
borrow your skincare products.”
“Don’t have any.”
“Then go buy me some.”
Louisa fell silent.
Half a minute later, she pulled a jar of moisturizer from her drawer

and set it heavily on the desk. “Use it. But you owe me a new jar for
every use.”
Julian chuckled softly.
Louisa asked, “What are you laughing at?”
Julian replied, “My girlfriend’s worried about me. I’m happy.”
Louisa stayed silent.
Had Julian really become this shameless?
She grabbed his tie with a fierce expression. “Julian, if you’re dirty, I
won’t want you anymore.”
Julian nodded and began loosening his own tie, saying to Louisa, “You
do it. Come inspect me.”
Before Louisa could respond, her phone rang.
It was Teddy calling.
She answered.

Teddy asked anxiously, “Louisa, is Mr. Tudor with you?”
Without a word, Louisa held the phone out to Julian. “It’s for you.”
Julian took it, pressing it to his ear. “Move the meeting to the
conference room.”
Hearing his boss’s unfriendly tone, Teddy didn’t dare ask questions
and quickly complied.
Julian hung up and walked over to Louisa, pulling her into his arms.
“Hurry up. Inspect me properly.” His low, deep voice murmured by her
ear.
“I don’t care about you. From now on, when you sleep, lock your own
door.” As Louisa spoke, she straightened his tie–though at the last
moment, she yanked it hard, constricting Julian’s throat until he
could barely breathe.
He said irritably, “Are you trying to murder your boyfriend?”
Louisa shot back, “That’s right. If you don’t leave now, I really will
murder you.”
She pushed him out of her office.

Julian went to the conference room for his meeting.
Of course, during the meeting, he had someone thoroughly disinfect
his office.
This wasn’t really for Louisa’s benefit–he simply didn’t like having
other women’s scents lingering in his office.
As for Teresa being his sister, having spent plenty of time with him
since childhood, did she count as “another woman“?
Ever since Louisa appeared, the answer was definitely yes.
This incident spread throughout the entire executive office. After all,
people had seen Teresa go to Julian’s office.
Julian had emerged from Louisa’s office.
And he’d had his office disinfected.
Disinfecting whose presence?
Teresa’s, naturally.
Everyone immediately conjured up a dramatic scene-“New Love vs.
Old Flame Showdown, New Love Wins Decisively.”

Louisa had no idea.
She spent the entire afternoon in the investment department.
When it was time to leave work, she unusually didn’t work overtime
and left the company right on schedule.
She still needed to deliver brooches to her friends.
When Julian got off work and found her office empty, his expression
darkened, though he wasn’t angry.
Her getting upset over Teresa was actually a good thing.
He drove straight to Tudor Manor.
The car had just parked in the villa’s parking area when someone
emerged from the adjacent spot.
Teresa.
She’d been waiting for him here.
Seeing him, she immediately rushed over. “Julian, I’m sorry. I was
wrong. I shouldn’t have done that at lunch. Please don’t send me
away, okay?”

She reached out to grab his hand as she spoke.
Julian directly avoided her, his face cold as he strode toward the main
building’s living room.
Adeline sat at the dining table, restless and anxious.
Ever since receiving Julian’s call saying he’d be home tonight, her
heart had been filled with trepidation. Knowing something had
happened, she immediately called Teresa to inquire, and sure
enough…
Yesterday, when Teresa had chased to the restaurant to “catch them
in the act“, William had already told her about it and given her a
warning–Teresa had one last chance left. If she caused trouble again,
no amount of pleading would help.
Now this had happened, and she still didn’t know how to protect
