After the Affair: Falling into a Billionaire’s Arms
Chapter 406
Teresa’s eyes reddened as she called out hesitantly, “Mom Adeline…”
But Adeline was helpless too.
If she didn’t make this choice, Julian really would bring Louisa home.
At that point, trying to stop it would be even harder.
She could even be certain–Julian had recorded their conversation
and played mind games with her precisely for this purpose.
Julian nodded. “Fine.”
He turned to Teresa. “Tomorrow morning, Bob will deliver your luggage. If you haven’t left by then…”
He looked at Adeline. “That would mean Mother broke our agreement.
At that point, don’t blame me for taking forceful measures.”
Adeline was both angry and stifled.
Yet she had absolutely no recourse with this son of hers.

Since childhood, everyone had said Julian was the smartest, most
well–behaved, most polite–he’d do whatever you asked, never defying
his parents.
And now?
He schemed against his parents, pressured them. When it came to
cunning, he had the most. He was clearly the most cold–blooded,
ruthless child.
Teresa was unwilling to leave just like this, but both Adeline and
William had compromised. What could she do?
But was she really going to slink out of Silverlight City with her tail
between her legs?
No!
She absolutely couldn’t let Louisa marry into the Tudor family.
Having resolved his own issue, Julian picked up his silverware first.
“Let’s eat. The food’s getting cold.”
Adeline and Teresa remained silent.
Eat what?

They were already full of anger.
William smiled ingratiatingly at his wife, even pressing the silverware
into her hands. “Eat.”
Adeline reluctantly began eating.
Teresa couldn’t swallow a single bite.
She didn’t want to leave, yet had no other options. Her entire being
was shrouded in a mournful atmosphere as she stared fixedly at
Julian.
Even now, she couldn’t believe he’d treat her this way.
Yet he didn’t even glance at her, treating her as if she didn’t exist–so
cold.
Teresa finally couldn’t hold back. She stood and ran out.
Watching her, Adeline’s heart ached.
But with her son present, she didn’t dare chase after her.
She looked at her son with matching resentment. She truly didn’t
know what was so good about that Louisa that he could be this cold

to Teresa.
Julian seemed to see through her thoughts. As he set down his
silverware, he said slowly, “Teresa has caused trouble for Louisa again
and again, even used their status difference to look down on her.
Louisa never once complained to me. Not once.”
At this point, he looked at his mother, his gaze clear and resolute. “If
Louisa wanted to take action against her, Teresa wouldn’t last a day.
You haven’t had contact with Louisa, so you don’t understand her. I
don’t blame you for that. I’m finished eating. Goodbye.”
He stood and left.
Watching his retreating figure, Adeline felt chest tightness and
shortness of breath, unable to say a word.
William sighed. “You see it now. Julian truly doesn’t have those feelings for Teresa. Stop worrying so much and let him be.”
Adeline’s eyes reddened with anger. She kicked at his leg furiously. “What kind of talk is that? Is Teresa the point? The point is Louisa!
Your son is determined to fight us to the bitter end for Louisa’s sake,”
“Honey, not ‘us‘.” William mustered the courage to clarify his position.
“I haven’t objected to them. I think Louisa is quite nice. Why don’t

you try accepting her, too?”
That last sentence was spoken with extreme humility. Where was Mr.
William Tudor’s commanding presence now?
Adeline glared at him angrily, as if she wanted to bore two holes
through his face with her eyes.
Great. William had just earned himself another night sleeping in the
study.
After finishing dinner, Adeline went outside looking for Teresa,
finding her in the villa’s garden.
Teresa’s eyes were already red from crying. She looked at Adeline
tearfully. “Mom Adeline, what should I do now?”
Adeline replied, “I don’t know either.”
Teresa pressed, “If I just leave like this, Julian will definitely strike
while the iron’s hot and force you to accept Louisa. Dad William has
already softened. Are you really going to let them succeed?”
Adeline was speechless.
She didn’t want things to reach this point, but what choice did she

have right now?
Earlier at dinner, William had told her that when Teresa entered
Julian’s rest room today, Julian had the staff disinfect it. He’d even
openly said they must thoroughly clean away Teresa’s scent.
In less than half a day, this incident had spread throughout the entire
Tudor Group.
Teresa had already become everyone’s after–dinner joke.
Given Teresa’s proud nature, she definitely couldn’t tolerate this.
The Tudor Group–Teresa could never go back.
Julian had come home today with no intention of backing down.
This left Adeline deeply troubled.
And it drove Teresa even more mad.
Love, once it reached the point of loving but not having, possession
became an obsession–already far removed from its original purity.
Teresa paced back and forth on the garden lawn like a ghost, like a
madwoman.

Seeing something was wrong, Adeline called out worriedly, “Teresa?
Teresa?”
Teresa remained in a dissociated state, unable to hear her calls.
Suddenly, Teresa’s eyes lit up. “I’ve got it.”
She rushed to Adeline’s side. “Mom Adeline, tomorrow night I’ll
accompany you to the banquet, then leave Silverlight City. At that
time, we’ll do this…”
The last few sentences were whispered directly into Adeline’s ear.
Adeline was shocked, shaking her head repeatedly. “No. If you do this,
Julian won’t forgive you.”
But Teresa could no longer listen to anyone else.
She was already immersed in her own world, unable to extricate
herself.
On the road back to Cozy Community.
Teddy drove while Julian sat in the back seat, gazing at the night
scenery outside.
