Chapter 466
Louisa said, “Most likely, it’s that woman who fell to her death.”
“What?” Teddy jumped, startled. He grabbed onto Louisa’s arm and clung tight.
At the same time, an icy stare shot toward him.
Seriously?
He was already scared enough, and now he had to face his boss’s freezing glare. Why was Julian looking at him like that?
Julian pointed to the side. “There’s a tree over there.”
Teddy blinked. “A tree?”
Julian sneered. “Your hands are itching, aren’t they? Go rub them against the bark.”
Only then did Teddy glance down at his own hands–still clutching Louisa’s arm.
He let go immediately and stepped back.
Louisa looked at Julian helplessly. “He’s just scared. Why are you threatening him?”
目
Julian smiled faintly, his tone deceptively gentle. “Threatening him? I’m concerned about him. Itchy hands are a medical condition. If left untreated, they might need amputation.”
Louisa fell silent.
Teddy fell silent.
He’d better watch where he put his hands from now on. His boss’s possessiveness was terrifying.
Meanwhile, Ethan finished scolding his companion, Raina, and returned to Julian’s side.
Briar took the initiative to speak to Raina. “We already talked it over. Louisa doesn’t want to go, so why don’t the two of us check out the treehouse? I think it sounds pretty thrilling.”
As she spoke, she tilted Raina’s chin up with her finger.
Raina froze.
Briar’s smile turned sultry. She stepped closer. “Why are you backing away? Are you going or not? I’ve got plenty of tricks up my sleeve,

you know.”
Raina shook her head frantically. “No, no, no. I’m not going.”
Briar laughed. “What’s the matter? You only wanted to go with our Louisa, not with me? What, am I not good enough for you?”
Briar advanced step by step, her smile seductive but laced with dominance.
Raina panicked and turned to Ethan for help. “Ethan, save me.”
Ethan was about to tell Briar to back off when Julian cut in. “This was Mr. Morris’s idea in the first place.”
The implication was clear: You wanted to go, so go. You don’t get to change your mind now.
The words died in Ethan’s throat. He forced out a stiff reply. “Then… go ahead.”
Raina’s eyes widened in shock.
Briar didn’t give her a chance to protest. She grabbed Raina’s wrist and dragged her toward the treehouse.
Raina tried to resist, but Briar’s grip was iron–strong. She had no choice but to be hauled along.
Ten minutes later, Julian glanced at his watch and said to Louisa, “Let’s head over there.”
He pointed in a direction.
Louisa nodded.
Ethan instinctively said, “But our people haven’t come back yet.”
He meant the two women who’d gone to the treehouse.
Julian replied coolly, “Then you can go to the treehouse and find your people. We’ve rested enough. We’re moving on.”
With that, he took Louisa’s hand and walked away.
Teddy and Orion followed close behind.
Seeing this, Ethan abandoned his companion at the treehouse and hurried after them with his other date.
Julian, leading the way, walked unhurriedly. He chatted with Louisa as they went, looking less like he was on a treasure hunt and more like he was on vacation.

Chapter 466
After about half an hour, they followed a cobblestone path to a round turret.
The walls were brown, the roof gray–white. The building had only one door. From a distance, it looked like a giant mushroom. Kind of
charming, actually.
But just as they stepped inside-
The door slammed shut behind them.
Louisa instinctively grabbed Julian’s arm.
Orion, “startled” as well, clutched Julian’s other arm.
Teddy, even more impressive, wrapped his arms around Julian’s waist from behind.
Julian, now draped with three people, fell silent.
Louisa tilted her head back and glanced at Teddy. ‘He’s got guts.‘
Orion mentally kicked himself. ‘Should’ve positioned myself in the back.‘
Teddy snapped out of his shock, his face crumpling in dismay. ‘Who wants to hug Julian? I was genuinely scared!‘
Julian pulled his arm free from Orion’s grip and turned around, fixing Teddy with a glacial stare.
Teddy immediately let go and backed up several steps, pointing at the door. “Boss, the door, the door-”
Julian sneered. “Oh, really? Good thing you noticed the door closed. Otherwise, being both deaf and blind, I’d never have known without your brilliant observation. I’m so lucky to have you.”
His sarcasm dripped like venom. He even looked ready to throw a punch.
Teddy looked miserable.
Louisa caught Julian’s arm. “He didn’t do it on purpose. Besides, you just got hugged for a second. If it bothers you that much, just hug
him back.”
Julian’s eyes widened slightly.
Did she hear herself?
Teddy grimaced. I’d rather take the punch.
Orion snorted loudly.
