Chapter 468
Julian smiled. “Because Lilith is you. You wrote this poem. And from the start of the activity, I noticed music coming from the direction of the third floor. So I guessed the necklace was in your possession.”
Hearing this, Lilith stopped hiding and clapped her hands, laughing. “Excellent, Mr. Tudor. Your mind is as exceptional as your appearance.”
Julian replied, “You’re too kind.”
Holding the necklace, he walked toward Lilith and moved behind her.
Yvaine’s body stiffened for an instant before she turned to smile at Julian. “Will Mr. Tudor put it on me personally?”
Julian said, “Isn’t that the rule of the game? I have to put it on you myself to win.”
In the candlelight, his smile was captivating–enough to bewitch anyone.
Lilith was entranced. She sat up straight. “Then I’ll trouble Mr. Tudor.”
Julian swept her long hair aside, exposing her neck wrapped in black lace.
He made as if to clasp the necklace, his fingers touching her collar…
Then, the instant she let down her guard, Julian violently ripped open her collar–along with her human skin mask.
Lilith let out a shriek.
The next second, someone covered her mouth.
The door burst open.
Louisa walked in and quickly locked it behind her.
be approached Julian’s side.
www.ugh she’d been mentally prepared, knowing Lilith wore a human skin mask, actually seeing the woman’s face after it was torn away still shocked Louisa
badly.
Even more frightening-
Louisa saw her face clearly. “So it really is you!”
The woman trembled, unable to speak.
Because Julian held a sharp dagger pressed to her throat.
The slender, silver–white blade gleamed with a cold light.
The woman’s breathing grew faint.

Chapter 468
Louisa gathered her courage and poked the woman’s face with her finger. Very smooth, though not very elastic. Warm.
A living person.
Louisa smiled. “So you’re not dead after all, Ms. Harrison.”
That’s right–the woman before them wasn’t the real Lilith, but that foreign woman who’d fallen from the building to create panic: Yvaine Harrison.
Yvaine kept her head down, saying nothing.
Louisa’s gaze gathered a cold edge. She grabbed Yvaine’s long hair without courtesy and yanked it back, forcing Yvaine to lift her head.
Louisa sneered. “So that’s how you transformed into Lilith–you played both roles. Pretending to be a ghost to scare me. Was it fun?”
As she spoke, she pushed the dagger forward. The sharp blade pressed against Yvaine’s carotid artery. One more inch and the artery would be severed.
Yvaine’s face went white with terror, her voice trembling. “I’m with the Guild. If you kill me, you won’t leave this place alive either.”
Hearing this, Julian didn’t hesitate. He pushed the dagger forward, drawing a line of blood immediately.
Crimson blood trickled down her neck.
Julian sneered. “Then let’s see if the Guild will stand up for you after you’re dead.”
His icy tone sent chills down spines.
Yvaine’s eyes widened in terror.
Louisa met her gaze and echoed Julian’s words. ‘Yeah, I’m also curious–between a victor and a corpse, who has more say?”
Yvaine couldn’t speak anymore and immediately begged for mercy. “This wasn’t my idea. I was just following orders. It was just a test–it wasn’t specifically
targeting Ms. Forbes.”
Louisa asked, “A test? Testing how brave I am? Or did the Guild order you to eliminate me? That doesn’t make sense. I’m just a subordinate accompanying my boss to a networking event. Why would the Guild pay this much attention to me and be so hostile?”
Yvaine fell silent.
After several seconds of silence, she seemed somewhat guilty, lowering her eyes, her voice trembling. “I didn’t want to kill you. It’s a misunderstanding, all a
misunderstanding…”
Louisa said, “The people you sent are all in our hands now. Are you sure you want to keep lying?”
