After the Affair: Falling into a Billionaire’s Arms
Chapter 496
The moment those words landed, every Tudor sibling in the living room turned to look at Julian.
Their expressions ranged from surprise to disbelief to barely concealed excitement.
Julian didn’t bother denying his sister’s words. He tapped her on the head. “You think you know everything.”
That was all the confirmation the Tudor siblings needed. They dropped whatever they were doing, suddenly very interested
in learning who had managed to capture Julian’s heart.
Only Justin sat to the side and let out a long sigh.
Alicia looked at him. “What are you sighing about?”
Justin glanced around at the others, then sighed even more deeply.
These brothers and sisters of his only knew that Julian had a girlfriend. The moment they heard he was back, they’d all
dropped their work and rushed home.
None of them knew their mother was busy trying to break Julian and his girlfriend apart. It was enough to give him a
headache.
Julian gave him a light smack on the head and said with mock exasperation, “Look at you, worrying on my behalf. Must be
exhausting.
The others laughed.
About ten minutes later, William came downstairs, supporting Adeline as they emerged from the bedroom.
The
Adeline saw Julian, her maternal instincts kicked in. She immediately asked if the business trip had worn him
out.
Julian replied flatly, “I’m not tired.”
Adeline’s face brightened. “Good. Rest for a bit then. My savior is coming over soon–and this time, I’m certain it’s the
right person.
Julian went silent.
He cast a cool glance at Amelia.
Amelia looked blank, turning to Adeline. “Mom, when did you find her? Why didn’t I know?”

Adeline gave a smug huff. “You? You spend all day playing games. If I waited on you to find her, it’d be too late for
anything.
She d asked a well–connected acquaintance, a Mrs. Kenna Garcia, to help investigate.
Kenna had just called, swearing up and down that she had the right person this time–the girl had answered all her
questions correctly.
Though, admittedly, the girl in the photo looked a little different. Her skin wasn’t quite as luminous as the girl in the
green dress.
But Kenna had said that with the right styling, anyone would look better than their everyday self.
Adeline thought that made sense. The green–dress girl’s skin had looked so flawless–that was probably just the lighting at
the banquet.
Besides, this new candidate was the only daughter of a jewelry mogul. Her background and bearing were perfectly suitable.
Meeting her wouldn’t hurt.
After all, identifying someone from a photo was never completely reliable. It would be a shame to miss the real person
over something like that.
Whether or not it was truly her would become clear once they met.
Julian’s expression turned cold immediately.
Adeline, lost in her excitement over finally meeting the green–dress girl, didn’t notice.
William saw it and quickly distanced himself. “I didn’t know anything about this either. Honey, why didn’t you tell me
something this important?”
Adeline shot a withering look. “You’re never home during the day. I just got the news myself. What’s wrong with
inviting someone over for afternoon tea?”
Before she even finished speaking, the butler came in from outside. “Ma’am, Mrs. Garcia has arrived.”
Please bring them in right away.” Adeline said eagerly.
The butler acknowledged the request and stepped back out.
A moment later, the sound of footsteps approached from outside.
Amelia and Alicia craned their necks to look.

Chapter 496
Jonathan and Jeffrey paid little attention one was still drowsy, the other still reading.
Julian wore his usual composed, unreadable expression.
William quietly tried to make himself invisible. He couldn’t afford to upset either his wife or his son.
Justin had claimed the most inconspicuous seat in the room. He propped his chin on one hand and watched with quiet
amusement.
Then two figures walked in.
The first was Kenna, wearing a dark red suit, looking to be in her mid–fifties.
(60
The second was a young woman in a pale green dress–delicately pretty, with a light and graceful build.
Adeline studied her without expression. Within a minute, the excitement in her eyes dimmed.
Every Tudor sibling watched her face and reached the same conclusion simultaneously: another wrong person.
But an imposter was still a guest.
The Tudor family had too much class to be rude about it.
Adeline composed herself and invited them to sit.
Once the guests were seated, the Tudor family settled in as well.
Kenna chatted warmly with Adeline, smiling all the while.
She didn’t look like someone helping to find a savior. She looked more like a matchmaker.
After all,
everyone in their social circle knew Adeline was searching for the woman who’d saved her life.
And everyone understood the unspoken implication: whoever turned out to be that savior would likely become the next
Tudor daughter–in–law.
The Tudors had four sons. But given how anxiously Adeline had been pushing to arrange Julian’s marriage, it was obvious
this search was for Julian.
Julian—the CEO of the Tudor Group, the most accomplished of all four Tudor sons.
Who wouldn’t want to climb that particular ladder?
All the ladies in their circle knew exactly what was at stake.

William instructed the butler to bring out the food.
One exquisite afternoon tea dish after another was set on the table.
