Chapter 532
*Okay.
Julian nodded.
They walked out one after the other and sat down on the living room sofa.
Louisa wanted to speak, but the words caught in her throat and she swallowed them back.
Julian poured her a glass of warm water. “Want to wet your lips first before you talk?”
Louisa stayed silent.
Whatever comes, she’d deal with it.
She decided to be direct. “Julian, I don’t want to keep traveling. Let’s go back to Silverlight City.”
Whether she kept the baby or not, she had to go back.
And being pregnant, she wasn’t suited for long journeys.
Julian gazed at her quietly. “Why do you suddenly want to go back?”
Louisa said, “We’ve been out for a long time. I miss my dad, and Sadie and the others. And Flora’s new studio–I don’t know how it’s going. I want to go back and see them…”
Her guilt made her voice grow softer and softer.
Especially under Julian’s gaze–she felt like those eyes could see through everything.
She grew uncomfortable and lowered her head.
Julian sighed silently. “Louisa, every time you lie, you can’t look me in the eyes.”
“Who says?” Louisa reflexively argued, lifting her head to look at him again. She wanted to say–how was she lying? Was missing her family and friends not real?
But meeting his eyes, all her words died in her throat.
She scooted closer, wrapping her arms around his, resting her head on his shoulder. “Julian, let’s go back, okay? Please?”
Julian sighed silently.

She still wouldn’t tell him.
Fine.
“Okay.”
He agreed.
As expected, no matter when, acting cute always worked.
Louisa happily kissed his cheek. “Thank you, Julian.”
Julian turned to look at her. “Just one kiss and you’re done?”
“Then… a few more?”
“Sure.”
In the end, he turned the tables, kissing her fiercely, almost punishingly.
Louisa was kissed dizzy, nearly breathless…
That night.
Louisa fell asleep.
Julian went next door to Teddy and Noah’s room.
Teddy was packing. Noah lay on the sofa with his phone, planning their next destination.
Knowing where they were going next, he’d already figured out what to do and eat.
Julian suddenly said, “Get ready. We’re going back to Silverlight City tomorrow.”
“Back to Silverlight City?”
Both Teddy and Noah were shocked.
“Mr. Tudor, why are we suddenly going back?” Noah asked, confused.
Julian didn’t elaborate.
Teddy and Noah exchanged glances. They could probably guess–it wasn’t Julian who wanted to go back. It was Louisa.

They stopped asking.
Teddy said, Tll book plane tickets.”
Julian said, “Don’t bother with tickets. Arrange a helicopter and apply for tomorrow’s flight path.”
Louisa was pregnant now. If she wanted to return to Silverlight City, it was probably because she didn’t want to endure more travel.
He didn’t want her to suffer that exhaustion either.
Besides, getting from this town to the nearest airport would take half a day–too bumpy.
A helicopter back would spare her the hardship.
Teddy replied, “Got it.”
He immediately went to make arrangements.
Noah looked a bit forlorn, like an abandoned big dog staring at Julian. “Mr. Tudor, do I have to drive the car back?”
He’d driven for days to get here, barely had any fun, and now had to drive back.
That heavy steering wheel, all by himself…
So boring.
Julian said, “If you don’t want to drive, find an auto transport company tomorrow morning. Ship the car back and fly with us.”
“Great!” Noah perked up again.
After arranging everything, Julian returned to his own room.
Louisa slept peacefully, unaware of anything–unaware of all Julian had done for her.
Julian sat beside her bed, watching her serene, beautiful sleeping face for a long time. He gently traced her brows and eyes with his fingers, a heavy feeling settling in his chest.
He shouldn’t blame her.
In the end, he hadn’t done enough. He hadn’t given her the courage to believe in him, to come to him.
He wasn’t good enough. He shouldn’t be impatient.

Louisa seemed to sense his touch. Unconsciously, she grabbed his hand, nestling her cheek into his palm, rubbing against it before falling back into deep sleep.
Julian watched her depend on him, a soft smile tugging at his lips.
She depended on him, yet couldn’t fully trust him.
Fine.
He’d just have to watch her more closely.
As long as she was willing to keep this baby, he still had hope.
He lay down beside her, pulling her into his arms, letting her sleep soundly…
The next day.
When Louisa boarded the helicopter, it still felt surreal, like a dream.
She’d assumed they’d drive back.
She hadn’t expected Julian to arrange a helicopter.
Was he in a hurry to get home too?
After being away so long, he probably missed his family.
She didn’t ask.
Of course, she had no idea that everything Julian had done was for her.
The helicopter flight was quick–six hours.
But they hadn’t left that early, so by the time they arrived home, it was already evening.
Louisa had been gone nearly two months. Standing at her own front door again, she was suddenly moved to tears.
Finally home.
She wondered if her Rose of Jericho had died.
Probably not–she’d asked Sadie to look after it.

Julian saw her heading straight home. “Come next door and eat something first. I had Bob make your favorites.”
Bob’s cooking…
Just thinking about it made Louisa’s stomach growl.
Compared to Bob’s skills, everything she’d eaten over the past two months had been too casual.
But no.
She needed to keep her distance from Julian. She still had to think carefully about what to do with the baby.
So she firmly shook her head. “I’m not eating. I need to go clean.”
Julian said, “It’s not urgent. Eat first, then go back. I’ll help you clean.”
Louisa hesitated inwardly, but quickly shook her head even more firmly. “No, I need to clean first.”
Julian looked at her quietly. “Cleaning is that important?”
“Yes.”
She didn’t dare meet his eyes. She quickly opened her door and went inside.

As she closed the door, she leaned against it, letting out a long breath. But her chest felt heavy. Was she being too harsh to him?
She was like a total scumbag.
No, not like–she was a scumbag.
