He didn’t want to see anyone right now. His only concem was finding Lemisa as quickly as possible. Two
hours had already passed, and he had no idea how she was doing
best as his private elevator doces opened, the adjacent elevator doors slid open too. Out stepped George,
Backed by two security guards.
Sorry, Mr. Tudor, Mr. Capulet insisted on seeing you. We couldn’t stop him,” reported the security guard,
visibly nervoX.
Julium, who had been about to enter the elevator, frose. He casually waved his hand, dismissing the guards. George stormed toward him, fury radiating from every step, looking ready to throw a punch.
Julian didn’t move an inch. When George was just two steps away, Teddy stepped between them.
George Lemored bim glaring daggers at Julian, who returned his gare with cool indifference. Two powerful
auras clashed in the air.
Julian, where’s my wife? What have you done with her George demanded, his entire body tense like a
Bon ready to pounce.
Tim on my way to find her right now,” Julian replied, his face composed.
Colike George, Julian’s posture remained relaxed. Slightly teller then his opponent, when he lowered his
gate, it was as if he were looking at a dog–calm yet cold, emanating an aura that seemed to look down on
everything
George’s fists clenched tighter, his knuckles cracking. What do you mean you’re going to find her? Where
the bell did you take my wife?”
Learning that Louisa lived in the same building as Julian and now worked at the Tudor Group had pushed him beyond the limits of composure.
Julian clearly didn’t consider him a threat. He glanced coldly at his watch. “Every minute you waste is
another minute Louisa remains in danger. Three minutes have already passed. Do you wish to continue this
pointless confrontation?”

Without waiting for a response, Julian stepped into his private elevator. Teddy and Teresa quickly followed,
with George jumping in after them just before the doors closed.
Though spacious, the elevator felt cramped with the two men’s dominating presences.
George had clearly marked Julian as his enemy, while Julian paid him no mind. His thoughts were consumed by Louisa, a chill emanating from him as the atmosphere grew increasingly tense.
Teresa, having figured out the situation, attempted to break the tension.
“Don’t worry, Mr. Capulet. Since Ms. Forbes is your wife Julian wouldn’t be interested in her.” She’d
realized Louisa was George’s wife, though divorcing–surely her prestigious brother wouldn’t be interested
in someone else’s woman, except perhaps for a casual fling.
“Better be that way,” George growled, shooting Julian a glance.
Teddy looked at his boss, thinking, ‘You’ve all jumped to conclusions without even checking with our CEO
first?‘
Julian completely ignored them all.
The elevator reached the first basement level. Julian strode out with his long legs, and Teddy rushed ahead
to open the car door for him. Julian got in, and Teddy took the driver’s seat.
George and Teresa followed behind, each reaching for the back door handles simultaneously. With an
elegant, swift motion, Julian reached out and locked the doors.
Teddy glanced at them in the rearview mirror with a smug expression. “That’s what you get for being so
presumptuous. Bye–bye.‘ He slammed on the gas.
George and Teresa nearly stumbled backward as the car sped away. Teresa quickly gathered herself and
hurried to her own car.
George, whose car couldn’t access the underground garage, followed without hesitation and slid into her
passenger seat.
Teresa stared at him, startled. “What do you think you’re doing?”

“Shut up and drive! George snapped. If they didn’t move now, they’d lose sight of Julian and Teddy
completely.
In Julian’s car, he asked, “Why did she say there was a problem with the Aurora Media Group project? Did she give any reason?”
“She said she wasn’t sure yet, that she needed to investigate first, Teddy replied.
The usually composed Julian’s expression darkened further. “She didn’t know anything concrete, and you
still let her go? If she actually uncovers something there, do you think they’ll just let her walk away?”
Teddy, now on the receiving end of Julian’s anger, grew anxious. “Ms. Forbes said the situation might be
more serious than we imagine. I thought it sounded serious too, so I followed her suggestion.”
“You certainly take HER orders well,” Julian scoffed.
Teddy thought to himself, ‘You follow her every word, how could I not?‘ Besides, on this matter, he trusted
Louisa’s judgment, though he couldn’t explain exactly where this trust came from.
After a moment’s contemplation, Julian issued a command, “Send word immediately. Tell them I can
tolerate work–related mistakes, but if Ms. Forbes suffers even the slightest harm, I will ensure Aurora
Media Group ceases to exist overnight!”
Teddy’s heart raced. This project involved a five–billion–dollar investment. Was Julian really willing to risk
five billion dollars for Louisa’s safety?
Such a message would likely prevent Aurora Media Group from harming Louisa, but it would surely bring
trouble to Julian himself.
“Mr. Tudor, please don’t act rashly. Ms. Forbes is incredibly smart–she’ll find a way to protect herself. We can’t just say things like that. Even if Ms. Forbes prevents the company from losing fifty billion dollars, the
board of directors will—”
“Do as I say,” Julian calmly cut him off.
He knew Louisa’s temperament all too well–she’d break before she’d bend.
If she encountered any danger, she’d likely sacrifice herself again. She was already covered in wounds. He couldn’t bear to see her injured again, especially not on his turf.
