Julian didn’t miss the flash of satisfaction that Judith quickly tried to hide. He smiled coldly, deliberately
drawing out his words. “Indeed. Are you afraid, Ms. Murphy?”
Judith’s face froze before she forced out a dry laugh. “What would I have to fear? If she’s been found, I
couldn’t be happier. Finally, someone can prove my innocence.”
After all, even if they found her, they’d only find her corpse. She had nothing to fear.
She added, “Of course, I’m happy for Mr. Tudor as well-
Before she could finish, Teresa had finally reached her breaking point. “Ms. Forbes, Ms. Forbes, Ms. Forbes!
Is she really that important? Is she all you care about?
Her jealousy, suppressed until now, finally erupted. Since arriving, she’d seen enough of Julian’s concern for
Louisa.
Today was the first time she’d seen him so angry. She suspected it was the first time for many people
present.
She couldn’t take it anymore.
Julian merely gave her a cold glance. “You dare make a scene? Don’t you know why she came here?”
Teresa lost control. “Are you reprimanding me? I’m the Director of Investments! She’s a newcomer who hasn’t even completed her probation period. What right does she have to my attention?
“But you the CEO of the Tudor Group–you come rushing here for a woman, threatening to destroy Aurora Media Group. Those who know might think you’ve lost an employee; those who don’t might think your wife
has gone missing!”
Julian’s tone remained even, but terrifyingly cold. “You still call yourself Investment Director? If you had any sense at all, Louisa wouldn’t have come here alone to be harmed! If she’s found, fine. If not, you and everyone involved in this project can get out!”
His words left Teresa red–eyed with fury.
She was a proud daughter of the Tudor and Hughes families. Now he was publicly humiliating her? He would even make her leave for this woman Louisa?

She looked at him with hatred, nodding repeatedly. “Fine, fine! I’m stupid, I have no brain. I don’t need this director position. I’ll resign immediately!”
With that, she pulled out her phone, called William Tudor, the Tudor Group’s chairman, and put it on speakerphone.
Julian watched coldly, making no move to stop her.
The call connected quickly.
Teresa immediately relayed everything that had happened, her voice breaking several times. She
embellished Julian’s threats and his defense of a mere manager, portraying him as a tyrannical “dictator”
and Louisa as a destructive temptress.
Judith consoled her, deliberately ensuring William could hear her voice.
William then addressed Judith directly.
She immediately adopted a pitiful tone. “Mr. William Tudor, although Aurora Media Group isn’t under the
Tudor Group, we wouldn’t be where we are today without Mr. Julian Tudor.
“Now that Mr. Julian Tudor wants to destroy Aurora Media Group overnight for a junior manager, we have
nothing to say. After all, he gave us everything. If Ms. Hughes resigns, I’ll resign too.
“I only ask that you persuade Mr. Julian Tudor not to erase Aurora Media Group. After all, so many people depend on these jobs to support their families.”
Her words sounded noble and righteous.
Other Aurora Media Group managers, moved by her speech and seeing two executives resign, joined in,
declaring they would quit too.
Teresa, seeing this unfold, suddenly realized Judith had manipulated her. She was jealous of Louisa, but she
hadn’t intended to harm Julian like this.
She tried to salvage the situation, but it was too late.
William, listening to everyone, fell silent.
Teresa grew increasingly anxious, nervously glancing at Julian.
Throughout it all, he sat calmly at the head of the table arms crossed, expression serene, not even looking

her way.
After a pause, William asked, “Julian, what do you have to say?”
Julian finally spoke slowly. “Chairman, haven’t you wondered why Ms. Forbes came here alone? And why she has disappeared?”
These two questions pierced the air like bullets.
The atmosphere instantly froze. Those who had been whispering and pointing moments ago suddenly
stiffened.
Julian’s questions were devastatingly pointed.
Teresa’s face darkened as she countered, “You’ve lost your mind over this Louisa! You’re mixing personal
and professional matters. I should ask, why do you care so much about her?
“Are you interested in her? Don’t forget she’s a married woman! How dare you, the CEO of the Tudor
Group, set your sights on another man’s wife?”
“Teresa!” Julian’s shout was thunderous.
In the past, he had cherished this sister. But now, his eyes held only coldness and disappointment. “Is
romance all you think about?
“No one knows better than you why Ms. Forbes came here. Since you won’t face the answer, I’ll tell you!
“Our Tudor Group has invested in Aurora Media Group for three years, and you’ve overseen this project for three years, right? Problems you failed to discover in three years, she found on her second day!
“She came here to investigate and save me from losses!
“If she hadn’t come today, do you realize your incompetence as Investment Director would have cost the Tudor Group at least five billion dollars?
“I see you didn’t know. You don’t care. All you care about is whether I like her or not. Well, I’ll tell you now
-I do care about her!”
His words completely devastated Teresa.
The disappointment in his eyes made her heart ache. And his admission that he cared for Louisa drove her mad with jealousy.

Unwilling to give up, she finally managed, “Just because she claims there’s a problem, there is one? Besides stirring up chaos, what problem has she actually discovered?”
Judith quickly supported her. “I agree with Ms. Hughes. Does her word alone make it true?
“Even if our company has issues, why didn’t she notify us? Why didn’t she wait for Mr. Tudor’s orders?
“And why didn’t she tell Ms. Hughes, instead of sneaking here to check our accounts? I think she just wanted to show off in front of you, Mr. Tudor!”
The barrage of questions grew increasingly heated, each one landing with impact.
The room fell silent as all eyes turned to Julian.
Before he could respond, a weak laugh came from the edge of the silent crowd. “Ms. Murphy, you sound
quite certain I wouldn’t return.”
