His face twisted with rage. Nothing like the gentle gentleman from before.

He took a few deep breaths and slowly calmed down.

He held out the phone.

“Tell Jasper to submit all the evidence you’ve gathered. I want to see Jack taken away within 48 hours.

“I know Faye and Vane and all the others are with you. Witnesses, evidence–it shouldn’t be hard.”

He even helpfully dialed the number.

When the call connected, Jasper’s voice came through.

“Don’t hurt her!”

Tatiana took a breath, “Jasper.”

“Tatiana? Are you okay? Did he do anything to you? Don’t be scared–I’ll come get you soon!”

His worry was clear even through the phone.

Before Tatiana could speak, Liam took the phone away

“Don’t worry about my fiancée. I’d never hurt her.”

“Liam!”

“Angry? Hah. Too bad. Tomorrow was supposed to be our wedding day. But that island venue–it’s all your people, isn’t it? Planning to trap us? I’m guessing the police are already in position?”

He was right.

That had been their plan.

“The wedding’s off. You won’t catch Jack that way. But I can tell you where he’ll hide.”

Liam’s tone was calm–like he was discussing the weather, not turning his father in.

Even Jasper on the other end was stunned.

“Submit your evidence to the review board. I want to see it on the news within 48 hours.”

Then he hung up and turned off the phone.

He turned his head and asked, “Are you hungry? Want something to cat?”

He was about to persuade her again when she spoke, “Sure. I’d like some chicken broth.”
