Agnes' Awakening: From Zero to His Whole World novel Chapter 268

Love After Leaving: No Regret

Chapter 268 Unhinged

“Ahhh! Ms. Foster, don’t! Please don’t do anything crazy!

“I was wrong! I’m sorry, I’m sorry! Please let me go. I don’t want to die!

“Don’t push me, please! I was wrong… Duncan! Help! Help me!”

Seeing Duncan running toward them, Monica screamed at the top of her lungs, her voice breaking as she cried for help.

Rebecca saw right through her act, but her hand was still pinned.

Her eyes went red. Something snapped inside her, and she stopped holding back.

This time, she didn’t need Monica forcing her hand into position.

Rebecca clamped both hands around Monica’s neck, her eyes blazing as she roared, “Fine! You want to die? I’ll grant your wish! I’ll kill you myself!”

Her grip tightened until Monica’s eyes rolled back, foam forming at her lips.

She shoved her halfway over the balcony, her body dangling in midair.

Monica panicked, legs kicking wildly, hanging helplessly.

She had always thought Rebecca was someone easy to push around.

She only wanted to humiliate her again in front of Duncan, but this woman had gone completely off the rails.

Monica’s face turned purple as she choked, on the verge of blacking out.

The weightless drop below made it worse, terror flooding through her as she wet herself.

She forced out broken words, begging,

“Let… go… please…”

Rebecca’s face twisted into something unhinged, her laughter sharp and wild.

“Weren’t you ready to die, Monica?

“Didn’t we just have coffee and become best friends? I’m helping you out!”

“I… was… wrong… Let… go…”

“Damn all of you, always stepping all over me. You can all die!”

Footsteps pounded up the stairs, fast and urgent.

Rebecca bared her teeth, her voice cold and vicious.

“I’ll give you one more chance, Monica. You know what to say in a second.

“If you don’t… I’ll kill you.

“And just so you know, I’ve killed before. More than once.”

Monica nodded desperately, gasping for air.

Only then did Rebecca yank her back from the edge.

Monica collapsed to the floor, soaked. She was pale as death, sucking in air in ragged breaths.

She stared at Rebecca like she was looking at a monster.

The door slammed open.
