Agnes' Awakening: From Zero to His Whole World novel Chapter 348

Carmen came to the beach with Agnes.

At first, she had wanted to stay in the room with Agnes, especially since Agnes had only just started recovering.

On top of that, she had never really liked crowded occasions like this.

But Agnes kept coaxing and pestering her, and in the end, she came anyway.

The hosts had prepared seafood caught that very day locally, along with all kinds of premium meats air-shipped in from Grandridge.

When Agnes saw all that seafood, some of which she had never even seen before, she got so excited she could barely move on.

Carmen followed behind her, constantly reminding her about the food.

"Hey, slow down. Eat less. Seafood is cooling food. Too much of it will mess up your stomach and spleen.

"Ah, don't eat that raw. It could have parasites!

"Hey! That steak, don't eat so much of it. You'll have trouble digesting it tonight.

"Agnes, you're eating this much and still not gaining weight? Are you trying to piss me off to death?"

Agnes only cared about eating. When she noticed Carmen nagging nonstop, she glanced over and saw that Carmen had only vegetables on her plate.

She speared a piece of beef with her fork, stuffed it into Carmen's mouth, and said,

"Shhh! No talking while eating, no talking before sleep. Eat, eat."

Agnes even fed her several more bites herself. Carmen was thoroughly defeated and stopped nagging.

The two happily ate seafood while watching the performance.

A man walked over from the side. Carmen rolled her eyes so hard they nearly flipped back and muttered under her breath, "God, he's everywhere."

"Agnes, are you feeling better?"

Neal looked at Agnes warmly and asked with concern.

Agnes looked at Neal. Not far behind him, Vivian was pretending to pick out food, but her eyes kept darting toward them.

Agnes smiled lightly and said, "I'm much better, Neal. Thank you so much for yesterday. Otherwise..."

Neal said, "There is no otherwise. I would never let anything happen to you."

Behind them, Carmen let out a snort.

"Wasn't it because she was with you that something happened in the first place? 'Would never let anything happen to her'? Yeah, what a joke."

Neal ignored Carmen's sarcasm and kept his focus on Agnes.

"Agnes, the seafood here is really fresh, but don't eat too much, okay?"

Carmen interjected, "Like you need to remind her? She's not three years old!

"I mean, Neal, why don't you go keep that one behind you company? She's been lurking there, putting on an act forever.

"I beg you two, go be lovey-dovey somewhere far away from us. Please, please!"

Neal was speechless. He wanted to blow up, but Agnes was here, so he held it in.
