Chapter 102: A Profitable Accident
Chapter 102: A Profitable Accident
(Amelia’s POV)
“Shut up! Stop talking!” Livia finally screamed, her voice shrill and breaking.

I just shrugged. I turned my gaze to Alaric. “Grandfather, you just need to tell me. Do we have a deal or not?”
Alaric looked at me, then at the furious Adrian. He didn’t hesitate any longer. The potential connection to the Calder Pack was too valuable to ignore.
“I have decided,” Alaric announced, his voice booming through the hospital room. “If Adrian cannot produce breakthrough results for Stone River Botanicals within six months, management rights will be transferred to Jaxon.”
He paused, silencing the room. “Furthermore, I agree to the immediate transfer of 10% of the pharmaceutical company’s shares to Amelia. Today.”
“Father!” Adrian shouted, stepping forward. “You can’t-”
“Silence!” Alaric cut him off sharply. “This mess is entirely Caleb’s doing. Attempted murder of a pack member? Someone has to pay the price. Be grateful I am not stripping you of your title entirely.”
Livia stood there, trembling from head to toe. She had come here demanding justice for her son, who might sleep forever. Instead, she was watching me take a piece of their empire for free.
“Look at them,” Ava laughed in my mind, rolling around with glee. “Greedy fools. They came to bite, and they lost their teeth.”
Just then, a deep, cold voice cut through the tension.
“Now, is it my turn to speak?”
Everyone froze. Theodore sat in his wheelchair in the corner, his eyes sweeping over Adrian and Livia. Even though he was crippled, the sheer weight of his Alpha aura made the air feel thick and heavy. It was the calm before a storm.
Adrian and Livia seemed to wake up from a trance. They had been so focused on fighting me that they forgot the Alpha King’s heir was watching.

“Alpha Theodore,” Adrian stammered, his face pale. He immediately put on a fawning, pathetic smile. “We are so sorry. We didn’t mean to ignore you. We are willing to accept any punishment or pay any compensation you see fit.”
“I don’t need your money,” Theodore said coldly. “And I don’t need an explanation for Caleb. Amelia is my future Luna. Her honor is tied to the Crimson family.”
He leaned forward slightly, his gaze locking onto Alaric.
“You plan to give her management of Starlight Entertainment,” Theodore said. “But the shares remain with Ethan. That means Ethan can flip the board whenever he wants.”
Theodore’s expression hardened. “To ensure Amelia’s position in this Pack is secure, I have a requirement. You cannot refuse.”
Alaric swallowed hard. “What is it?”
“Transfer 30% of Starlight Entertainment’s shares to Amelia. Formally. Now.”
A low, dangerous sound vibrated in the room. It was Logan, Theodore’s wolf, issuing a warning growl through the mental link that every wolf in the room felt in their bones. He was ready to tear apart anyone who said no.
(Theodore’s POV)
Adrian’s face turned the color of ash. He looked like he might faint.
I watched the room calmly. Alaric was staring at me, but the calculation in his eyes had changed. It wasn’t just assessment anymore. It was deep fear mixed with respect. He recognized power when he saw it.
Alaric was an old wolf. He knew the game. He was weighing the cost of the shares against the wrath of the Crimson family. I could see him realizing that submitting to my demand was the only way to survive.
The scent coming off Adrian and Livia was disgusting. It smelled like rotting fruit–pure fear and sour jealousy.
I looked at Livia. She was staring at Amelia with such venomous hate that it was almost impressive. The bitterness of her scent filled my nose.
It was ironic. These two had spent years scheming, trying to get their fake daughter, Celine, to marry into my family. They wanted the Crimson protection and wealth. Now, my protection had arrived. But it was shielding the biological daughter they despised.
I glanced at Jaxon and Seraphina. They exchanged a look of relief and pride. Jaxon gave me

a small, respectful nod.
I nodded back.

Alaric let out a long sigh. “Very well,” he said, his shoulders slumping slightly. “I agree to your terms, Alpha Theodore. I will have the pack’s Beta handle the share transfers for both companies immediately.”
I nodded, satisfied. The power struggle was over. We had won.
Alaric turned his glare back to his son. “Adrian, Livia. You have six months. If you don’t focus on your work and stop these petty schemes, you won’t just lose shares. You will lose everything.”
He straightened his coat. “As for Caleb, Ethan’s PR team will handle the news of his coma. It must be framed as an unfortunate illness. We cannot have a scandal affecting the Pack’s reputation.”
Adrian and Livia looked defeated. They turned to leave, their movements stiff and angry. They had stormed in here to demand answers, and they were leaving empty–handed, having lost a fortune to the daughter they tried to crush.
Amelia reached toward the fruit basket on her bedside table. She plucked a purple grape and popped it into her mouth.
“My, my,” she said, chewing slowly. “This car accident was truly profitable.”
I couldn’t help it. I smiled. My mate was adorable when she was ruthless.
Livia stopped at the door. She heard Amelia’s comment. Her hands curled into claws, and she looked like she wanted to rush back and tear Amelia’s mouth off. But she glanced at me, saw my cold eyes, and froze.
Amelia wasn’t done. She swallowed the grape and called out, her voice dripping with wicked
mockery.
“Livia, wait a second. Don’t doctors say you should talk to coma patients to help them wake up?”
Amelia smiled sweetly. “I suggest you go tell Caleb exactly what happened here. Tell him that because he cut my brakes, I got 10% of the pharmaceutical company and 30% of Starlight.
Tell him I’m rich because of him.”
She paused for effect. “Who knows? He might get so angry he wakes right up. Then your trip
here wouldn’t be a total waste.”
