(Adrian’s POV)

I slammed my fist on the table, causing the coffee to spill over the edge of my cup.

“That ungrateful girl!” I growled. “After everything we’ve done to bring her back, this is how she

repays us?”

Livia dabbed at her throat, “She’s completely out of control, Adrian. The way she spoke to me–her own mother! And those threats about ruining our sons‘ careers weren’t idle talk. There was

something in her eyes…”

I paced the room, my wolf Noah restless beneath my skin. “I can tolerate her attitude. I can even understand her resentment. But if she thinks she can threaten Stone River Pack’s assets, she’s

sorely mistaken.”

“Blood or not, I won’t allow it,” I declared firmly.

Livia approached me cautiously. “What about tonight? Should we still try to convince her not to sign the severance agreement?”

I laughed bitterly. “Why would we? A daughter like that would only bring us more trouble. Let her sign it and be done with us.”

My mind raced with calculations. Father had been watching everything closely, and I knew he was reconsidering the pack’s succession. Amelia was an unpredictable variable that could upset everything we’d built.

“We need to ensure she marries Theodore Crimson as soon as possible,” I said decisively. “That crippled Alpha heir has no real value anymore. Once she’s his mate, she’ll be Crimson Moon Pack’s problem, not ours.”

Livia’s eyes lit up with understanding. “I’ll speak with father tomorrow about finalizing the

arrangement with the Crimson Moon Pack.”

“Good,” I nodded. “The sooner Amelia is out of our pack, the better for everyone.”

I I drummed my fingers against the polished surface of my desk, staring coldly at Zachary Grant. The man was sweating profusely under my gaze, his expensive suit doing little to hide his discomfort.

Zachary’s professional demeanor finally cracked. “With all due respect, sir, do you really think acquiring ‘Shadow Moon Chronicles‘ is as simple as snapping your fingers?

I raised an eyebrow, surprised by his sudden backbone.

“This is Lily’s final unpublished work,” he continued, gaining momentum. “Every publishing and entertainment company in Northgate City wanted to buy it. Even if we manage to contact her. there’s no guarantee she’ll sell to us over more established companies.”

The temperature in the room seemed to drop several degrees as I fixed him with an icy stare. “Are you suggesting I should handle this personally?” I asked with a cold smile.

Zachary paled. “N–no, sir. I just meant-”

“Even if I did,” I cut him off, “you think she wouldn’t sell to me?”

He looked at the floor, muttering, “She might not, sir. Shadow Healer is known to be… particular.”

My patience snapped. “Get out. Now.”

Zachary practically ran from my office, closing the door with a soft click that belied his hasty

retreat.

I massaged my temples, feeling a headache forming. The past year had been disastrous for Starlight Entertainment. No bestselling books, no hit TV shows–nothing to show my grandfather that I was capable of managing this company.

The door to my office swung open again without a knock. My younger brother Caleb stormed in, his face flushed with anger.

“Do you have any idea what’s been happening while you were away? he demanded, throwing himself onto the leather sofa across from my desk.

I straightened in my chair. “What are you talking about?”

“That so–called sister of ours,” Caleb spat. “Amelia. She’s been terrorizing Celine for the past three

days!”

My interest piqued. “Tell me everything.”

Caleb’s words tumbled out in a furious rush. He described how Amelia had humiliated Celine at every turn, physically attacked both of them, and even threatened to drive Celine out of the pack “She’s completely wild,” Caleb concluded. “Nothing like what we expected from someone raised in the backwater Meadow Brook Pack.”

I frowned deeply. “You’re right. She should be grateful just to be acknowledged as the Alpha’s daughter. Instead, she’s causing chaos.”

Caleb rolled up his pant leg, revealing an ugly purple bruise on his knee. “Look at this! She kicked me so hard my healing ability can’t fix it. And poor Celine–her face is swollen from crying, and there’s a bruise on her cheek where Amelia struck her.”

My jaw tightened. “I can’t believe she dared to lay hands on both of you.

“I can’t handle her alone, brother,” Caleb admitted, his eyes pleading. “She’s stronger than she looks. We need to put her in her place before she does more damage.”

A cold smile spread across my face. “As it happens, I’ve been having a rather frustrating day. Perhaps it’s time I properly welcomed our long–lost sister to the family.”
