My phone vibrated on the table.

I glanced at the screen. It was a warning text from Caleb, telling me that Gale Entertainment

intended to rush a copycat show.

I didn’t reply. I simply flipped the phone face down on the table with apathetic grace.

A moment later, the phone vibrated again several times.

I checked it. The screen showed that Caleb was trying to add me as a friend on social media.

I looked at the new friend request. A cold smile touched the corner of my lips. I ignored it again.

“What is it?” Theodore asked from across the table.

I took a bite of my black truffle and wild mushroom risotto. “Gale Entertainment is preparing to rush a shoot to compete with us.”

Theodore paused in cutting his venison steak. A flicker of curiosity passed through his golden

eyes.

“How do you plan to fight back?” he asked.

I picked up my goblet and gently swirled the ruby–red vintage wine inside.

“I don’t need to fight them directly,” I said lightly. “I just need to let their production crew

self–destruct.”

I took a sip of the wine. “To create hype, Arthur will likely make Jade the female lead. So, I plan to make a move on the male lead.”

Theodore frowned slightly. “Are you sure?”

“Gale Entertainment is eager for quick success,” I pointed out confidently. “They want to seize the market opportunity. They won’t screen the male actor’s background carefully.”

I set the glass down. “I just need to push a little from behind. I can detonate a scandal for that male lead that is big enough to destroy his career.”
