“Go to the Southern Wastelands… that is practi
cally a death sentence of exile!” Vivian screamed,
her voice cracking with hysteria.
Her face, usually a mask of haughty arrogance, was now twisted into a grotesque expression of
pure terror.
For someone like her, accustomed to the opulence and power of the Northern Territories, that desolate place was a nightmare beyond comprehension.
I looked at my sister, watching her chest heave with panic.
My expression darkened, becoming solemn and grim.
“So, Vivian,” I said, my voice low and dangerous. “If you don’t want to be exiled to that God–forsaken wasteland, I cannot fail this time.”
Vivian sucked in a sharp, trembling breath.
She gripped her phone so tightly that her knuckles turned bone–white.
“Yes!” she hissed through gritted teeth, her eyes manic. “Victor, this time, you must win!”
I nodded once, then turned away.
After hanging up, I took a moment to compose myself before heading deeper into the villa.
I entered the secret chamber hidden behind the study.
Garrett was already there, lounging in a leather chair with a glass of amber liquid in his hand.
I sat opposite him, my face grave.
“Theodore just came to the door asking about his father’s whereabouts,” I said quietly.
Garrett’s eyes flashed with a sudden, ruthless light.
“You must hide Theron well,” he warned, his voice sharp. “That old man is the key to our entire plan.”
He leaned forward, the ice in his glass clinking.
“If Theodore finds him early, our plan to use Jasper to destroy Gideon will completely fall apart.”

I let out a cold breath.
“Don’t worry,” I promised. “I will never let Theodore find that cripple.”
I paused, a lingering doubt surfacing in my mind.
“Are you certain that the mute rogue, M, will actually attack the Alpha King?” I asked.
Garrett swirled his whiskey, watching the liquid catch the light.
A cruel, confident smile spread across his lips.

“As long as we produce irrefutable fake evidence that Gideon killed Theodore’s mother,” he said
softly.
“That mad dog loved the former Luna more than his own life,” Garrett continued. “He will tear Gideon apart without hesitation.”
We locked eyes across the table.
Our gazes held a mutual understanding, each of us harboring our own schemes within the shared
conspiracy.
We raised our glasses in unison.
It was a toast to the impending chaos and the throne we sought to steal.
(Amelia’s POV)
The black sedan glided smoothly down the highway, putting distance between us and Victor’s villa.
I turned to look at the man beside me.
“Your pressure on Vivian today will terrify Victor,” I pointed out. “He is going to panic and become
rash.”
Theodore leaned back against the leather seat, his posture relaxed but commanding.
His eyes shone with a look of absolute control.
He offered a confident smile. “That is exactly my goal.”
“Only when the prey is cornered do they take drastic measures,” he explained calmly. “And in their panic, they will inevitably reveal their flaws.”
I nodded in agreement. “A frightened snake bites blindly.”
The car slowed to a halt at a busy intersection.
“I have business with Luke and Lewis,” Theodore said, squeezing my hand briefly. “I will drop you

“I need to head back to Starlight Entertainment anyway,” I replied. “There are documents waiting
for me.”
“We will go see Jasper together tomorrow,” he promised before stepping out of the car.
I watched him leave, then signaled the driver to continue.
The moment I sat down in my office, my phone buzzed.
It was an encrypted voice report from Silas.
I tapped play, listening to his cool, efficient voice recount the latest intel.
“Adrian caused a massive scene at the Drake family estate,” Silas reported.
“Matriarch Octavia used the opportunity to stage a dramatic disownment,” he continued. “In the
end, Adrian had no choice but to take Lyra back to the Stone house.”
I sneered, my fingers drumming a rhythmic beat on the mahogany desk.
It was obvious.
“Griffin is playing games,” I muttered to myself.
He was using this sympathy ploy to embed Lyra back into the Stone family just in time for my
birthday.
*That vile woman definitely wants to cause trouble at the banquet,* Ava growled in my mind, her hackles raised. *We need to watch her.*
I soothed her with a thought.
*Relax, Ava,* I replied coldly. *If she dares to reach out, we will simply rip her claws out.*
My thoughts shifted, drifting to another loose end.
Livia.
My biological mother had been missing for too long.
Silas’s report mentioned nothing of her whereabouts, which was unusual.
I frowned, picking up my phone again to dial Rowan in the Meadow Brook Pack.
The line connected after two rings.
“Amelia?” Rowan’s kind voice came through.

“Rowan, has Livia been there?” I asked directly.
“She was,” Rowan confirmed, his tone serious. “She came looking for Ethan a while ago.”
“What happened?”
“Mother and son had a huge fight,” Rowan explained. “It was explosive. She left right after.”
“Where did she go?”

“We all assumed she went back to Northgate City,” Rowan said. “The Pack members saw her drive off in a rage.”
I felt a chill settle in my stomach.
