Thinking about this, I couldn’t help but smile. All the businesses controlled by Adrian’s family were now within my grasp! I spoke into the phone, “Alright, Silas, thank you for your hard
work.”
After hanging up, my eyes sparkled with amusement. What a coincidence that Ethan wanted to purchase my work to advance Starlight Entertainment. Unfortunately for him, that would never happen.
Humming a tune, I continued organizing the remaining herbs into wooden boxes. Black, White, and Green wagged their tails beside me, helping with the task. They’d done this so many times that they were quite skilled, and soon all the medicinal herbs were properly
sorted.
A knock sounded at my door, followed by Seraphina’s gentle voice asking if I was in my room. I quickly returned the wooden boxes to the cabinet and signaled for Black, White, and Green to hide before opening the door.
Seraphina’s eyes lit up the moment she saw me. She eagerly took my hand and led me into the room, explaining that the evening gown she’d ordered for me had arrived and wanted me
to try it on.
Two delivery men carefully brought the gown into the room and laid it neatly on the bed. The dress was absolutely stunning, with every detail revealing the care and exquisite craftsmanship of its makers. Under the light, the evening gown sparkled brilliantly, as if illuminating the entire room with its beauty.
With Seraphina’s enthusiastic help, I began trying on the gown. She adjusted the details of the dress for me, then stepped back to admire it, nodding with satisfaction. Her gaze was like someone admiring a priceless treasure.
“Tomorrow night, you’ll be the most eye–catching princess,” she said. “Everyone will know that you are the Alpha’s true daughter.”
Seraphina gently asked if I was nervous. Looking at myself in the mirror, I smiled calmly and said I wasn’t.
In my mind, I thought this was nothing special. I’d traveled far and wide, flying around the world, attending countless banquets of all sizes. I’d seen many more grand and solemn

occasions than this welcoming feast.

Seraphina admired me while expressing her concerns. “The welcoming feast was Celine’s idea. After seeing her hidden side, I’m worried that she, Adrian, and Livia might try to embarrass you tomorrow night, which could greatly affect your reputation.”
I smiled dismissively. “Don’t worry. Whatever plans they have against me, I can handle them. I’ll make them taste their own medicine.”
Seeing my confidence, Seraphina felt somewhat reassured but still reminded me, “I believe you know what you’re doing, but remember, if you can’t handle it alone, Jaxon and I are here for you. We’re your strong support.”
My heart warmed at her words. I smiled and nodded firmly. “I know.”
Looking at myself in the dressing mirror, an intrigued smile appeared in my eyes. I actually hoped Adrian, Livia, and their adopted daughter Celine would make a move at my welcoming feast. That would make the event much more lively and interesting.
(Theodore’s POV)
That evening, as soon as I returned to the Pack House, the butler called me to the hall, saying my father, Alpha Theron, wanted to discuss something urgent with me.
When I arrived at the hall, I saw Isla sitting beside Theron, clinging to his arm and pouting. “Today, you must stand up for me,” she was saying.
Theron patted her hand. “Don’t worry, I won’t let you suffer any injustice.”
The way Theron looked at Isla was full of fatherly affection. Ronan stood nearby, also gazing at Isla with indulgence. Watching this scene, my eyes darkened slightly. My father had never shown such tenderness toward me, his own son, yet here he was, lavishing it on Isla, a girl he had merely adopted.
Isla noticed me at the doorway and alerted Theron. “Big brother is back.”
The smile on Theron’s face vanished instantly as he turned to look at me, being wheeled in by Marcus. I spoke first, asking what he wanted to see me about.

Theron explained that he’d received an invitation. The Stone family was hosting a welcoming feast tomorrow night. Apparently, Celine wasn’t actually the Stone family’s daughter – their true daughter had just returned a few days ago.
I nodded. “I’ve heard about that.”
Theron continued, saying that Stone Pack’s Alpha had proposed changing my betrothed from

Celine to their true Alpha daughter. He asked what I thought – did I want to marry this newly returned true heiress, or should we cancel the engagement altogether?
Before I could answer, Isla interjected, “What a coincidence! Big brother’s legs were crippled just last month, and this month the Stone family suddenly brings back a ‘true daughter‘ and claims Celine is fake? Could it be that Celine doesn’t want to marry big brother and is deliberately finding someone to take her place? If so, they’re going too far! Just because big brother’s legs are crippled, they dare to look down on him!”
—
Isla’s words seemed righteously indignant, but her eyes were full of schadenfreude and provocation. I understood perfectly after I disciplined her last time, she was now deliberately trying to provoke me in front of Theron, believing I wouldn’t dare do anything to her in my father’s presence.
How could I not hear the malice in her words? My fingers tapped lightly on my wheelchair as my calm gaze passed over Isla’s barely concealed smugness.
Ronan put on a helpless expression. “Don’t be so angry, Isla.”
Isla pouted. “I just can’t stand how the Stone family is insulting big brother! What they’re doing shows they look down on him. I think we should just cancel the engagement!”
Theron looked at me, asking for my opinion. “What do you think?”
I smiled calmly. “There’s no need to cancel the engagement. I’m willing to marry the true daughter.”
