Chapter 365: Livia’s Humiliation
Chapter 365: Livia’s Humiliation
(Amelia’s POV)
I looked down at the woman screaming on the floor. Her face was twisted with hatred, but my own expression remained cold and indifferent.

“Do you have any actual evidence?” I asked, my voice calm and steady amidst the chaos. “Why would I go to such great lengths to hire rogues just to kidnap and torture you?”
Livia’s eyes bulged. She pointed a trembling finger at me.
“I heard them!” she shrieked. “I heard the kidnappers talking to you on the phone! They called you by
name!”
A sharp, mocking laugh cut through the tension. It was Rowan Calder.
“That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard,” Rowan sneered, shaking his head. “Think about it, Livia. What kind of professional kidnapper exposes their employer’s identity to the hostage?”
He took a sip of his wine, looking at her with disdain.
“It is an insult to everyone’s intelligence here,” he added.
Ethan’s face flushed a deep shade of red. He looked around the room, seeing the judgment in the eyes of the pack members. The family’s reputation was being tarnished, not just by the alleged crime, but by his
mother’s utter lack of dignity.
“Mother, please,” Ethan whispered urgently, grabbing her arm. “Stop this. You don’t have any solid proof. It
is hard to believe Amelia would do this.”
Livia froze. She looked up at her eldest son, her eyes filling with betrayal.
“You don’t believe me?” she gasped. “You would trust the monster who did this to me over your own
mother? I raised you for twenty years!”
“It’s not about trust,” Ethan hissed, tightening his grip to drag her away. “You are making a disgrace of
yourself.”
“Let go of me!”
Livia wrenched her arm free with surprising strength. She stumbled back, panting heavily.
“I am not leaving!” she roared. “If Amelia doesn’t give me an explanation today, no one leaves this hall!*
Seraphina stepped forward, her amber eyes blazing with authority.
“Enough, Livia,” Seraphina scolded sternly. “This is Amelia’s birthday banquet. You are acting like a
madwoman.”

“If there really was a kidnapping, go to the Pack Enforcers,” Seraphina said. “Don’t come here and spray
your venom.”
Jaxon’s face was like stone. He raised his hand, signaling the security team.
“Guards,” Jaxon ordered coldly. “Throw this woman out of the Pack House.”
(Author’s POV)
The guests could no longer stay silent. Murmurs of disgust rippled through the banquet hall.
“She is unfit to be a mother,” one elder grumbled loud enough to be heard.
“Those rogues should have just finished the job,” another whispered darkly.
The malicious words hit Livia like physical blows. It was the final straw for her crumbling sanity.
“Shut up!” Livia screamed, spinning around to face the crowd. “You are all idiots! You are accomplices to a
murderer!”
Ethan covered his face with his hand, feeling a deep sense of powerlessness. He wished the ground
would swallow him whole.
In the shadows, Alpha Adrian watched the scene with cold, calculating eyes. He didn’t step forward to
help his mate.
‘Good, Adrian thought, a cruel smirk touching his lips. ‘Make it bigger. Die here, Livia. If you die in front of
everyone, they will blame Amelia. It will cover my tracks perfectly!
Livia saw that no one was on her side. She turned back to Ethan, her hand outstretch.
“Give me your phone,” she demanded breathlessly. “I will call the police. I will call the King’s Enforcers!”
Suddenly, the massive projection screen behind the main stage flickered to life. A bright light flooded the
dim hall, drawing every eye.
A video began to play.
Gasps of horror filled the room.
On the screen, Livia–the proud, high–maintenance Luna–was kneeling in the mud like a starving rogue. She
was filthy, her hair matted with grime.
She was eating.
But she wasn’t eating food. She was frantically scooping up leftovers and slop from a dirty trough, shoving it into her mouth with her bare hands. She looked simpler than a beast, completely stripped of dignity.
Ethan and Caleb stared at the screen, their mouths hanging open. They couldn’t reconcile that wretched creature with their high–and–mighty mother.

Livia stared at her own humiliation. Her face drained of all color. Her pride, the only thing she had left,
shattered into a million pieces.
“No…” she whimpered.
Then, she snapped.
“I’ll kill you!” Livia shrieked, the sound tearing at her throat. “Amelia! You did this!”
She shoved Caleb and Ethan aside with manic strength. Her hand shot out and grabbed a sharp steak
knife from the nearest table.
“Die!”
She charged at Amelia like a rabid animal, the blade gleaming under the chandelier lights.
“Amelia!” Natasha screamed in terror.
Theodore sat in his wheelchair, his expression unmoving. He didn’t flinch. He knew his mate.
Livia never reached her target.
*Whack!*
Alaric’s heavy wooden cane swung through the air. It struck Livia’s wrist with a sickening crack. The knife
clattered uselessly to the floor.
Livia didn’t stop. She reached into her tattered dress and pulled out a small glass bottle. She raised her
arm to throw it.
Marcus moved faster than a striking viper. He intercepted the bottle in mid–air before it could leave her
hand. He sniffed the contents cautiously.
“Concentrated acid,” Marcus announced grimly.
The room went deadly silent.
Alaric roared with fury. He raised his cane again and brought it down hard across Livia’s back.
“You vicious woman!” Alaric shouted. “You dare try to disfigure the Pack’s heir?”
Jaxon and Seraphina had already thrown themselves in front of Amelia, forming a human shield.
Behind them, Amelia had quietly extended her claws, ready to strike. But seeing her adoptive parents protecting her so fiercely, her heart softened. She slowly retracted her claws.
“Grandfather, please,” Amelia said softly. “Don’t hurt yourself over her.”
Caleb finally snapped out of his shock. He rushed forward and threw himself over Livia’s prone body,
taking the next blow from the cane on his own shoulder.
“Stop!” Caleb cried out. “Don’t hit her!”
Livia looked up at her son. Through the pain, a twisted delusion took root in her mind. Her family still loved

her. Caleb was protecting her.

It must be Amelia. It had to be Amelia. Adrian would never hurt her; it was all this wretched girl’s plot.
“I curse you!” Livia spat, blood trickling from her lip as she glared at Amelia and her parents. “I will make you pay! All of you will die screaming!”
The pack members had heard enough.
