When I finished laughing, I composed myself and looked directly into the middle–aged man’s gloomy eyes. I enunciated each word clearly: “That’s right, it’s true! I will destroy your entire family, and I won’t rest until I do!”
Adrian’s face contorted with rage upon hearing his biological daughter’s declaration. His chest heaved as he struggled to contain his fury.
“You dare!” he roared. “I’ve lived half my life as the Alpha of the Stone River Pack. I will not tolerate threats from a young wolf, especially not my own daughter!”
Agnes, who had been watching nervously from the side, frantically pulled out her phone. Her fingers trembled as she tried to call Jaxon for help, but no one answered.
Adrian’s lips curled into a cold smile. “My wonderful daughter,” he sneered.
“I need to correct you again,” I replied calmly. “I don’t have a stone–hearted father like you.”
“We regret what happened,” Adrian insisted, his voice strained. “My mate and I want to make amends, but you won’t give us the chance.”
I laughed bitterly. “People who could abandon their own daughter… what right do you have to ask for a chance to make amends?”
Adrian’s expression hardened. “So you truly won’t forgive us?”
I met his gaze unflinchingly. “Never.”
The conversation had completely broken down. Adrian’s face darkened as he decided to stop wasting words.
“Enough talk. You will answer for attacking your mother with those needles,” he growled, gesturing to the warriors behind him. “Take her.”
Agnes rushed forward, placing herself between us. “Alpha Adrian, please wait! Can’t this wait until Alpha Jaxon and Lady Seraphina return?”
Adrian ignored her plea completely. “Move aside, or I’ll have them deal with you too.”
Despite her obvious fear, Agnes stood her ground. She darted forward, arms outstretched as if to shield me.

“You meddlesome thing!” Adrian snarled. With a flick of his hand, he signaled one of his warriors.
The burly man didn’t hesitate. He delivered a vicious kick that sent Agnes flying. She crumpled to the ground with a pained cry, too hurt to speak.
I stared in shock and mounting fury. I never imagined Adrian would be so brutal to an elderly Omega who had served his family loyally for decades.
I rushed to Agnes’s side, carefully helping her into a sitting position. After a quick examination, I was relieved to find no serious injuries. I quickly inserted a golden needle at a specific point to stabilize her condition.
“Don’t worry,” I whispered, gently supporting her. “I’ll handle this.”
With Agnes leaning against me, I turned to face Adrian. My eyes burned with determination. He would pay for hurting someone who cared for me.
As Adrian’s warriors advanced, something unexpected happened. Their bodies suddenly began to convulse violently. They dropped to the ground, white foam bubbling from their mouths.
Livia pointed at the fallen men, her face pale with terror. “That’s exactly what she did to me this morning!” she shrieked, clutching Adrian’s arm. “I told you she was dangerous!”
I fixed them with an icy stare. “You knew I wasn’t someone to be trifled with, yet you still came here causing trouble and hurting innocent people. I’m simply giving you what you asked for.”
Just as I prepared to take further action, a deep, authoritative voice boomed across the courtyard.
“ENOUGH!”
Patriarch Alaric’s commanding presence filled the space as he approached, leaning slightly on Stewart for support. “What has this family come to, fighting like common rogues in our own home?”
Livia immediately spotted her chance. She rushed to Patriarch Alaric, tears streaming down her face. “Father! I swear I’m not falsely accusing Amelia!”
Patriarch Alaric surveyed the scene with sharp eyes – his son Adrian seething with anger, me supporting the injured Agnes, and the warriors writhing on the ground. His expression was grave.
“What exactly happened here?” he demanded.

Livia pulled out the golden needle I had used earlier, her voice breaking with emotion. “This morning, I brought my son to apologize sincerely. We wrote formal apologies and even prepared breakfast. But Amelia wouldn’t forgive us!”
She dabbed at her eyes dramatically. “Then she attacked me with this needle! It made me convulse just like those warriors! She’s trying to tear our family apart – she even attacked her own mother!”
Patriarch Alaric examined the golden needle, recognition flickering in his eyes. He remembered I had used a similar one to treat his headache the previous night.
He turned to me, his expression unreadable. “Amelia, is what your mother saying true?”
I met his gaze without a hint of guilt. “I used the needle on her because she was about to hit my mother. I absolutely will not allow her to bully my mother!”
Livia immediately countered, “How dare you twist the truth! Seraphina slapped my son Caleb first! As a mother, how could I stand by and watch my son being hit without doing anything?”
