Ethan’s face flooded with relief at Celine’s news. “Celine, I owe you a huge favor for this. If we can secure Lily’s treatment chronicles, I’ll be forever in your debt.”

Celine couldn’t hide her pride, her eyes gleaming with satisfaction. “I’m just happy I could help you, Ethan.”

Caleb jumped in, eager to boast. “With Celine personally involved, her friend will definitely convince Lily. This meeting is as good as successful.”

He shot a contemptuous glance toward Amelia standing in the doorway. “Starlight Entertainment will only grow stronger. I’d like to see if certain people really have what it takes to ruin our business.”

Amelia couldn’t help but laugh. “Why are you so confident? You think just because you’re getting a meeting, the rights are already yours?”

Caleb’s lips curled into a cold smile. “Celine’s connections are reliable. Since they’ve agreed to meet, it’s practically a done deal.”

He sneered at Amelia. “What makes you think you can destroy our business? Don’t tell me you know Lily too, and can somehow prevent her from selling the rights to Ethan?”

Amelia nodded calmly. “Actually, yes. I do know her, and I absolutely can stop her from selling the rights to Ethan.”

Caleb burst into laughter, completely disbelieving. “You’re hilarious!”

Celine joined in with a mocking smile. “You’re just trying to prove you’re better than me. But connections aren’t built overnight.”

Her eyes narrowed with disdain. “Growing up in that remote little pack, you only know ordinary, low–ranking wolves. There’s no way you could possibly know the Shadow Healer Lily.”

“What’s wrong with villagers?” Amelia shot back immediately. “Aren’t they connections too? Who are you looking down on? If you’re so high and mighty, maybe you shouldn’t eat bread. The wheat was grown by villagers, after all.”

Celine didn’t respond to that, clearly taking it as empty defiance. She turned to Ethan instead.

“Why did you come to see Amelia anyway?”

Before Ethan could answer, Amelia kicked the bag of tools in the corner. “Ethan’s coming to till and hoe my garden tomorrow. He was kind enough to bring the tools in advance.”

Celine’s expression grew complicated. She couldn’t understand why Ethan would do such menial labor for Amelia.

“Are you trying to get her forgiveness?” she asked, confusion evident in her voice. “But your leg… she’s the one who injured you.”

Ethan quickly denied it. “That’s not-”

“Don’t worry,” Celine interrupted, misinterpreting his hesitation. “I promise tomorrow’s meeting will be successful. You don’t need to fear her ruining our business.”

Ethan struggled to explain his poisoning situation. “We should head back for dinner,” he said instead, desperate to change the subject.

Amelia, seeing his eagerness to save face in front of his sister, smirked. “Your sister is so kind–hearted, she won’t mind. If you need more help, she can join you.”

Ethan’s face tightened with suppressed rage, but he didn’t dare lash out. He just wanted to leave as quickly as possible.

As he limped away, Amelia called after him. “With that leg, don’t push yourself too hard. If it’s too difficult, maybe Caleb or your dear sister can carry you.”

Only then did Celine realize Ethan wasn’t trying to appease Amelia–he was being threatened.

Seeing her once–proud brother so humiliated that he couldn’t even speak up for himself, she found the sight unbearably pathetic.

Caleb finally snapped. He turned back, his eyes blazing. “Don’t get too cocky. I’ll find a way to deal with you sooner or later.”

Amelia responded with cool indifference. “Maybe focus on managing your social media

scandals first.”

With that, she turned and walked back into her villa, closing the door behind her.

That evening, Amelia received a message from Rhys, arranging to meet at “The Gilded Antler” at noon the next day.

The restaurant was originally Rhys’s family business, but Amelia had secretly arranged for her people to buy shares and take over management. It was now thriving.

Realizing that Celine’s “friend” was actually Rhys, Amelia felt even more anticipation for

tomorrow’s meeting.

After her shower, she received another message from an unknown number. She immediately recognized it as Damien again.

The message contained a link to the same article about Theodore’s infertility that she’d sent Theodore earlier. Below it was written: [Amelia, read this carefully. You’ll regret marrying Theodore!]

Amelia typed back without hesitation: [Damien, that’s none of your concern. Didn’t I tell you I don’t want children? A man with azoospermia is perfect for me!]

She smiled to herself. Surely this would finally make Damien give up.

Meanwhile, at the Crimson family residence, Theodore had barely stepped through the door when his father’s thunderous voice echoed through the great hall.

“Theodore! Kneel before me!”

Theodore paused, looking toward his father Theron, who sat fuming on his throne–like chair. “Father, what do you mean? What have I done wrong?”

Theron slammed his hand down on the armrest and stood up, pointing an accusing finger at Theodore. “You dare ask what you’ve done wrong?! How could you be so heartless? Banishing Isla was bad enough, but having someone shatter her kneecaps? You’re inhuman!”

His voice rose even higher. “And your own brother Ronan! You worked so hard to convince your grandfather to bring him back from exile. And now? You’d harm your own flesh and blood? Have you lost your conscience completely?!”

Theron was shaking with rage. He grabbed the tea set from the table and hurled it to the

floor.

The sound of shattering porcelain filled the hall as fragments scattered across the marble

floor.
