Alpha’s Discarded Luna

Chapter 264

Electra’s POV

Talia nods slightly, her expression calm and measured despite the chaos swirling around us. Let them spread that video from today as wildly as possible. Her voice is steady, almost cold. It would be best if everyone knew that Rafael has a child but doesn’t want to admit it.

I understand immediately. The pieces click into place behind my eyes. I get it.I lean forward, my voice dropping. Once the paternity test results are in, the lie will be exposed. All their carefully constructed accusations will crumble like sand.

My eyes sparkle with dawning excitement. Talia, you are amazing!I grab my phone, fingers already flying across the screen. I need to create an account right away. We need to start building our counternarrative before they get too far ahead.

I am holding my phone, midtype, when I suddenly remember something. The words freeze on my lips. I look up at Talia, my expression serious.

By the way, Talia, you must not speak up for Rafael. Not publicly. Not online. Not anywhere.

Talia’s brow furrows. Why not?

I lean closer. If this was indeed done by William, he is undoubtedly waiting for you to walk into his trap. He wants you to defend Rafael. He wants you to attach your name to this scandal.I pause, letting the weight of my words sink in. He is hoping to damage your reputation alongside his.

At this moment, Rafael, who has been keeping his head down on the sofa, raises his head. His eyes burn like fire, the first real emotion I have seen from him all day.

Electra is right. His voice is rough but firm. Whatever you do, do not speak up for me. I will not let you go down because of my problems.

Talia opens her mouth to argue, to protest, to insist.

My phone rings, cutting through the moment like a blade.

I glance at the screen and answer. The voice on the other end is apologetic, but that does not make the words any easier to hear.

Ms. Parker, I am sorry, but because of Mr. Kingston’s scandal, he has now been classified as a disgraced artist. We have received instructions from above that this concert is temporarily

canceled.

A disgraced artist? My voice rises despite my wish. Are you kidding me?!I grip the phone tighter. The news about Rafael might not be true, so why are you canceling our concert?!12:54

The voice on the other end is calm, infuriatingly so. It is only a temporary cancellation. If you can prove that this scandal has nothing to do with Rafael, then this concert will not be affected in any way.

I am furious, and my hand shakes around the phone. They are framing us, and they are the ones who should be providing evidence! My voice echoes off the walls. Don’t you think it is too hasty to judge Rafael as a disgraced celebrity based on just a few videos?

There is an awkward, light cough on the other end. Umthis is a notice from above. We are just following orders and carrying

them out.

I want to argue further. I want to scream. I want to demand to speak to someone higher, someone with authority, someone with a brain.

But Talia stops me. She gently shakes her head at me, her eyes calm and steady.

I know that no matter how much I talk to the other party, it will not make any difference. They have made their decision. They have chosen their side.

I just cannot swallow my anger. It sits in my throat like a stone.

It seems that the only option now is to follow Talia’s suggestion. Confront the other party first, build our case, then propose the paternity test.

Author’s POV

However, while Electra was busy arguing with the socalled whistleblower on the phone, something else happened at the studio. The situation escalated faster than anyone anticipated.

Someone leaked the address of Rafael’s studio to the public. Within hours, the location spread across social media like wildfire. Within a day, it became a rallying point for outraged

netizens.

Many irrational fans and protesters sent wreaths, creepy dolls, and other extremely disturbing items to the studio address. White flowers arrived in boxes. Porcelain dolls with painted tears appeared on the doorstep. Anonymous letters filled with accusations and threats piled up in the mail.

A group of people gathered downstairs, holding signs and phones, demanding an explanation from Rafael. Their voices rose in a discordant chorus, each person angrier than the last.

On her first day at work, Brianna arrived at the studio only to be startled by the large crowd gathered outside. She stood across the street, watching the mob with wide eyes, before retreating to a safe distance to call Talia.

After hearing Brianna’s explanation, Talia’s voice came through the phone, low and steady. You should go back for today.

Electra has already rented a new studio. After we clean it up, you can come back to work in a couple of days.

Okay,Brianna said, her voice small.

She put down the phone and turned to leave. The morning light was pale and cold, casting long shadows across the pavement.

A tall, handsome figure blocked her way.

Brie. The voice was familiar, and yet, utterly unwelcome. I have finally found you.

Brianna raised her head. Her expression changed drastically, all the color draining from her face.

Bruce?!she whispered.

The man smiled, but there was no warmth in it. His eyes were dark, hungry, possessive.

I have been looking for you everywhere…after all, we still have unfinished business, right?
