Chapter 265
Electra’s POV
In just two days, I have made significant progress.
The biggest step towards resolution, is that I have openly confronted the whistleblower on social media. My wolf bristles with every post I type, and the confrontation brings the matter to its peak of popularity.
Everyone is watching… waiting.
Time waits for no one. If the situation with Rafael is not resolved
soon, even holding the concert will be a problem. His reputation hangs by a thread, and audiences are fickle creatures. They smell weakness like wolves scent blood.
Soon after, I decide to publicly announce that we will do a paternity test with the other party. I publish the announcement on every platform, at every hour, until the words become impossible to ignore.
The Twitter account on that side suddenly goes silent. No posts or replies at all, just a blank space where accusations used to live.
Considering their silence over the last twelve hours, the initial overwhelming criticism of Rafael has gradually shifted. The tides

of public opinion begins to turn. People start asking questions, after noticing the gaps in the story.
Rafael still has quite a few fans. Many abandoned him, but his die–hard followers chose to believe in him and stand by him when everyone else turned away.
But those who chose to believe Rafael have been labeled as
“blind fans” and subjected to all sorts of sarcastic remarks. The internet is a pack of jackals, tearing at anything that bleeds. This has led to rational fans not daring to speak at all–watching in silence, waiting in fear.
Rafael’s willingness to openly confront the issue shows he has a clear conscience, since an innocent man does not hide or run. However, many people also say that the last person who said that was arrested long ago. Trust is hard to earn and easy to
lose.
After a day of silence, they finally give a public response. They say a paternity test can be done. Just a simple sentence has changed everything.
Looking at the reply, I exclaim excitedly, “Talia, the situation with Rafael is about to take a turn for the better!”
Talia, however, is not as happy as I am. Instead, she frowns. Her eyes grow distant, the way prey looks when it senses a predator hidden in the tall grass.

My smile fades. “Talia, what is wrong? Is there another problem?”
“No.” Talia sighs softly, her breath barely a whisper. “I hope I am just overthinking it.”
But her eyes say otherwise, almost like she is sensing something I cannot see…yet.
Talia’s POV
With so much going on lately, my body finally gives in. I catch a cold, the familiar ache settling into my bones, the scratchiness creeping into my throat. My wolf stirs restlessly, unsettled by the weakness. After making dinner for Robin that evening, I discover I have a fever. The thermometer reads 38.5, and the world feels slightly blurry around the edges.
Fearing that I might pass my cold to Robin, I immediately call Raymond. The phone rings twice before his deep voice answers. There is something protective in his tone, the way an alpha checks on a member of his pack.
“Mr. Capaldi.” I keep my voice steady, though it comes out rougher than I intend. “I have a bit of a cold today. Could you please take Robin back for a while?”
There is a pause on the other end. Then his lazy, magnetic voice

comes through, warm despite the distance. “Tia, have you encountered something difficult to solve lately?”
I hesitate for just a moment, hearing him adopt the nickname Robin has recently started using for me.
“Yes, it is about Rafael.” I swallow against the scratchiness in my throat. “But it has not reached the point of being unsolvable yet.”
Raymond’s voice softens, taking on an edge of quiet authority. “If there is anything you cannot solve, remember to come to me anytime. You are not alone in this fight.”
“I will.”
After hanging up the phone, a glass of warm water is handed to me. Small hands, steady and careful.
“Aunt Tia, have some water!”
Robin stands before me, looking like a little adult in his serious expression and furrowed brow. Even at his age, there is something watchful in his eyes, something that reminds me of his father. “Dad said that drinking more hot water when you have a cold will help you get better quickly.”
I take the water from Robin, my fingers wrapping around the warm glass. A warm feeling spreads through my chest pushing 5

back against the chill of the fever.
“Thank you, little one.” I ruffle his hair gently. “You take such good care of me.”
He grins, a flash of mischief in his eyes. “It’s nothing, aunt Tia!”
Just as I speak, the doorbell rings. My wolf perks up, ears pricked, scenting the air.
