Talia’s POV

As soon as I manage to get up from the couch, Robin stops me from opening the door. His small hand presses against the wood, his expression far too serious.

“It must be Daddy.” He looks up at me with those watchful eyes. “Aunt Tia, you lie down and rest. I will go open the door.”

Seeing that Robin is learning to take responsibility, I don’t refuse him. My body feels heavy, every muscle aching, and the fever makes the room spin slightly when I move too fast.

He runs off, his small feet pattering against the floor. By the time I reach the hallway, he has already pulled the door open.

And sure enough, it is Raymond. His tall frame fills the doorway, and even from across the room, I can feel the steady presence of his wolf, calm and grounding.mRobin whispers, his voice low but carrying clearly in the quiet apartment. “Dad, Aunt Tia has a fever. Did you bring any medicine?”

I haven’t looked in a mirror, but I can feel the heaviness of my eyelids, the sluggishness of my thoughts. I’m pretty sure I look even worse than I feel, weighed down by exhaustion and

My expression tightens. “Electra, what happened?”

“I found someone who could help me with the concert venue. We were able to negotiate, so I went to the venue that they arranged.” Her voice drops. “At the entertainment club, there were a few rich young men who had drunk too much. They insisted that I drink with them. When I refused, they started touching me inappropriately.”

I grip the phone tighter, my knuckles whitening.

“They surrounded me.” Electra’s voice shakes. “I could not hold back any longer. I smashed one of them on the head with a

bottle…”

Even on the phone, I can hear a noisy commotion coming from Electra’s end. Angry voices, shouting, furniture scraping against floor.

“You shameless woman!” A man’s voice booms in the

background. “How dare you smash Mr. Soren’s property? Do you even know who Mr. Soren’s father is?! Even if God himself came to bail you out today, you won’t get away with this!”

I push myself upright, ignoring the wave of dizziness. “Where are you now?”

I keep my voice steady, though my heart is racing. “Keep them calm for now. I will be right there.”

I hang up the phone with the sole motive to find Electra. But the moment I take two steps toward the door, the world tilts around

I look at Talia, who seems too pale to be standing on her own feet. The fever has drained the color from her face, and there are dark circles beneath her eyes.

“Tia, what are you going to do?” I ask, though I already know

the answer.

After taking only a few steps, Talia staggers. She catches herself on the back of the couch, her knuckles white. I watch her exert a great deal of effort to barely keep herself upright. Her breathing is shallow, her pulse visible in her throat.

“Something happened to Electra.” Her voice is strained. “I need to go check on her.”

I grasp her wrist. The temperature of her skin is extremely hot, far too hot. My wolf growls low in my chest, concerned despite

calm exterior.

“You think you can get out looking like this?” I keep my voice level, but there is no mistaking the edge beneath it.

After the recent turn of events, Talia’s face pales even more. She looks like she might collapse at any moment.

I look down at her, taking in the full picture. The fever, the exhaustion, the desperate determination in her eyes. “Tia, in your current condition, believe it or not, you will not be able to leave your home.”

She meets my gaze, and there is fire there despite the illness. “But I cannot just leave Electra there.” She takes a deep breath, as if gathering strength from somewhere deep inside. “I have to go there right away, otherwise she might be in danger.”

I ponder for a moment. The logical part of me wants to forbid her from going. She is in no condition to drive, to argue, to face down a group of drunk rich men. But I also know Talia, and I know she will not stay behind.

I sigh, running a hand through my hair. “I’ll go with you.”

Talia blinks up at me, surprised. “Raymond—”

“Don’t argue.” I grab my jacket from where I draped it over a chair. “You can barely stand. You are in no state to drive or to fight.” I look down at her. “But I can do both.”
