Alpha's Regret After the Divorce by Christina novel Chapter 190

After several long minutes of careful examination, Ian finally straightened up, his face serious and weighed down with concern.

“Your father’s condition is complicated,” he explained gravely. “The silver poisoning has been worsened by severe neural trauma. The toxin has fused with his nervous system in a way I’ve seldom encountered before.”

I pressed him urgently, unwilling to linger on the grim details I already knew all too well. “Is there any chance you can help him?”

Ian sighed deeply, a hint of weariness in his eyes. “Possibly. The usual treatments have clearly failed because they can’t tackle both the poisoning and the nerve damage at the same time. During my time with the Triads, I developed a method that combines wolf energy transfusion with neural regeneration.”

From behind me, Andy asked quietly, “And how successful is that?”

Ian hesitated, weighing his words. “In cases like this… about fifty percent.”

My heart dropped. “Only fifty?”

“Yes,” Ian said, “considering how long he’s been in a coma and how extensive the damage is, that’s the reality. There are risks involved too—possible memory loss, impaired motor skills, even changes in personality.”

I absorbed the weight of his words, comparing them to the bleak prognosis we’d been given by other doctors over the years—none of whom had offered even a glimmer of hope. Zero percent success. In that light, fifty percent felt almost like a miracle.

“What exactly would the treatment involve?” I asked, eager to understand every step.

Ian carefully packed away his instruments. “It’s a multi-stage process. First, we isolate and purify the silver toxins from his system. Then comes the transfusion of energy from a compatible donor—ideally a pure-blood Alpha. Finally, we stimulate the neural pathways during the full moon, when our healing powers reach their peak.”

My eyes flicked involuntarily to Rocco, standing quietly nearby. A pure-blood Alpha. Of course.

Ian continued, “I’ll need special equipment, some of which is rare. Plus certain herbs that only grow in territories controlled by ancient werewolf families.”

Once Ian finished, I gathered my team in the hallway for a private discussion, lowering my voice. “What do you all think?”

Andy frowned, crossing his arms. “I don’t trust anything linked to the Triads.”

Rebecca shook her head, more optimistic. “The science behind it makes sense. I recognized some of the principles from my research. It’s experimental, yes, but not impossible.”

I rubbed my temple, feeling the weight of the decision. “Do we have any other options? No one else has offered us anything close to hope in all these years.”

After debating the risks and benefits, we returned to the room where Rocco and Ian waited.
