Chapter 6
Lucian’s face finally changed. His voice was icy.
He grabbed my raised hand, his gaze fierce and severe.
The proud, indifferent Alpha Lucian stared at me with fury, for another woman.
My eyes burned.
I looked at the man I’d loved for ten years, a wave of sadness washing over me.
I was a Luna of the pack but I was so pathetic.
“Yeah,” I said. “I should have gone crazy a long time ago.”
Then I raised my hand and slapped him hard.
“Lucian, we’re done.”
The moment Aurora died, I had decided to sever the bond between us.
I pulled my hand back, my palm numb because I’d used all my strength to slap him.
His left cheek reddened. It was the first time a woman dared to slap him.
He looked at me, his expression dark and terrifying, his eyes filled with fierce anger.
He sneered coldly, saying nothing.
The Alpha King exuded raw power–broad shoulders, eyes like molten gold.
His presence alone would make other wolves kneel.
I had been scared of him even though I am his Luna.
Probably that was because he never showed love to me.
I turned and left.
I knew he wouldn’t believe me. In his gold wolf eyes, I’d gone to any lengths to be with him. Five years, playing an obedient Luna by his side. He didn’t believe I’d leave him.
Three days later, Mooncrest Manor…
Lucian came home, exhausted, only to find the house empty.
He thought I’d taken Aurora to leave.
He took out his phone, his face cold and grim.
For the first time, he took the initiative to message me.
“Come back.”
It was an order, a cold order.
But a red exclamation mark appeared.

“The message has been sent, but it was rejected by the recipient.”
He couldn’t believe it. I’d blocked his number!
