Seren’s Story: Chapter 1
In my daughter’s entire short life, she waited for her father, the Alpha of the Ironfang Pack, foraz rimes
The first time was when she was born on a moonlit night.
I was having a hard time delivering her.
Lying weakly on the maternity bed, I waited for my husband’s arrival.
Only to be told he was in another pack, with his first love who was also delivering her baby
The second time, it was her birthday.
The day my daughter turned five, she asked her father to take her to the playground and he agreed.
She waited and waited in the cold weather but found out that her father was with another woman celebrating another girl’s birthday.
That night, she developed a high fever and even vomited blood.
The third time, it was in the Moon Chamber.
My daughter was diagnosed with Wolfsbane Pox and needed a does of Moonflower Elixir.
I begged everyone I could.
Thanks God, the herbalist told me there was still one available in her lab.
But it was taken away.
My husband ordered the herbalist to give that only one dose of medicine to his first love’s daughter.
I tried to contact him but failed.
The only thing I could do was watch my daughter’s body turn cold under the pale moonlight.
The fourth time was her cremation.
My daughter’s body was about to be cremated and waited her father to come to say goodbye.
I was there with my little girl’s body before she was put on the wooden bed.
He never showed up.
My heart also turned into ashes as my daughter was cremated in the flames.
My sweet little girl was gone, and my Alpha husband and I were so over.
Aurora’s body was going to be cremated, and only I was there with her.
Even a bulky black down jacket couldn’t hide the withered frame of mine.
My bloodshot eyes were swollen from crying, filled with emotions of missing my girl.
I took out a pair of hair clips from my pocket, leaned over, and gently put them on her.

Those hair clips were the birthday gift I designed for her myself
“Baby, happy birthday. I will always remember you.”
With that, I lowered my head and gently kissed Aurora on her forehead
The touch of her cold body made my tears well up once again.
It was about time.
The male staff in the Pack Clinic stepped forward and kindly said, “I’m sorry for your loss. Where’s her father Wi he be here soon?”
After all, the information showed that Aurora had a birth father.
“He won’t come!” A hint of coldness flashed through my eyes.
“Are you going to wait for him?” the staff asked.
He had kids too, so he knew how regretful a father would be if he failed to say the last farewell to his daughter.
“Wait?” I sneered. “It was so cold yesterday. My daughter stood outside waiting for her father to take her to the playground. She waited all day until she vomited blood and fainted, but he never showed up. Do you know where he was then? He was in another Pack’s playground, celebrating his beloved’s daughter’s birthday!”
The staff suddenly didn’t know what to say.
