Chapter 163
AELIANA
Audrey had this coming.
For months now I’ve done nothing but restrain myself, I’ve successfully fought the urge to beat her ass like I’ve dreamed of for years, to take retribution for the torment I endured, but today I snapped. It just so happens that I was already irritated having woken up without Kingston by my side, and when Eve came to find me because something needed my attention, I cracked.
Seeing Lexie was my final straw, I was hoping the good girl act Audrey had been playing all these years had kept her from hurting people, but I was wrong, and it’s about time someone stood up to the brat.
I’m seeing nothing but red when someone successfully pulls me off her. It pisses me off, I try to launch myself back at her, but I’m pulled back again. “Aeliana,” Kingston says, his voice panicked. “Stop.”
“Let me go!” I scream, elbowing him in the chest, but he doesn’t let go. “Put me down,” I scream, realising my feet aren’t touching the ground.
“Siren, stop.”
“No, leave me.” I choke out, the air in my lungs tapping out. Years of pent-up anger and retribution have my head spinning, and that’s all I can see now, the teasing, the taunting, the immense bullying. I feel suffocated, I try to go back to her so I can smash her face in, but I’m not free, I need to be free.
“Hey, hey.” Kingston coos, turning me around in his arms, his hold on me strong. I can’t move, he holds me to me to chest, ignoring my struggle to break free. “No, breathe.” He commands. I find myself obeying, sucking in a breath. “Not like that, in through your nose.” He tells me, his hold on me seemingly growing stronger. I do it, I breathe him in, pressing my head against his chest, and syncing his heartbeat to mine. “Again.” He orders. “Focus on that. Good.” He gently rubs my back. “Are you okay now?”
“Yes,” I nod. “Let go.”
“Promise you won’t try to fight her again?”
“Fine.”
“Siren?”
I nod, “I promise.”
“Okay,” he says with a relieved sigh, his hold loosening. He doesn’t let go completely, he does it slowly, as if to test me and I pass, I keep my promise. “Let’s fix this,” He says, tying my robe. “Now,” he clears his throat. “What the hell is happening here? Have you too graduated from verbal squabbles, to physical ones?”
“She was beating Lexie,” I tell him.
“You need to handle your servant, she doesn’t know her place.” Audrey grits her teeth, glaring at me with a bloody nose.
“Lexie works for me,” I snap. “If she does something wrong in your eyes, you come to me, or ignore it, but you do not put your hands on her, you deranged psycho!”
I don’t realise I’m moving until I’m yanked back by Kingston. Audrey wipes her nose with a cloth from her sidekick. “I see where she is learning her manners.”

“You shut up, you psychotic bitch!” I hiss. “You have no right to touch anyone in this house, much less someone who works directly for me.”
“Audrey, you don’t hit people,” he says. It’s not a question, it’s a reminder because to him, this is out of. Character for her.
“She insulted me, she was insolent.”
Insolent?
How many times has she been insolent with me and I ignored her? “As I said, come to me.” I point to my chest. ” Don’t put your hands on her just because she can’t fight back. That’s disgusting. She’s of a lower rank, you attacked Lexie because she was defenceless.”
“Like you did to me?” She counters smugly.
“Shut up, you’re far from defenceless.” I sneer. “The narrative doesn’t get changed just because I beat your ass, you’re still a bitch, you’re still miserable, you’re still cunning, you’re still a bitter fucking-”
Kingston clears his throat. “Aeliana.”
