Alpha’s Rue: His Shunned Luna (Athena Enchanted) novel Chapter 178

Chapter 178

Gemma screams, and so do a few others watching, I turn back to the spoiled brat Aeliana brought into our lives.” Oh my God, what have you done?”

She dashes past me, sliding into the ring like a seasoned wrestler with a lifetime of experience in entering rings. I move closer, keeping outside the ring while Gemma pulls the blade out of her side, blood soaking her clothes. ” Are you okay my Ellie?” Noah gasps, kneeling beside Aeliana.

“Yes,” Aeliana says, propping herself up against the ropes, putting pressure on her injured shoulder. “I just…I need a moment.”

Noah stands, staring like she owns the land. “You bitches in Mooncrest seem to walk around with a death wish I see,” she spits, her words aimed at me, but she stares at Gemma and Rita instead.

“What is wrong with you?” Rita screams, holding, her eyes wide with fear. “We were training.”

“You were putting deliberate pressure on her ankle, and wrist what kind of training is that?” She snaps, stalking Gemma and Rita, who both take a step back, scared of the human.

“Yikes,” Danielle groans joining me. She arrived with Noah, but somehow she doesn’t appear shocked by the brat’s actions.

“My Noah,” Aeliana’s voice fracks. “Stop it, I umm…fuck, I need a moment.” She gasps, trying to catch her breath.

Noah doesn’t listen, she steps close, and pushes her finger against Gemma’s forehead. “You’re a bold motherfucker for acting that way with your Luna.”

“You stabbed me,” Gemma groans, pointing to the bloody bread knife on the mat. I can’t believe she flung a bread knife that far, not only landing it with precision, but also effectively enough to draw blood? I’m impressed, Clinshore must have been feeding them something exotic.

“Barely,” Noah says, unbothered and seemingly irritated. “You’re still moving, but she can’t,” she says, gesturing to Aeliana on the floor. “Have you no shame in ganging up on her? Two on one is not a fair fight.”

“She wanted this,” I snap. “She wanted to fight them both, you would know had you inquired.”

The air shifts around us, and I turn to find Rowan. “What’s going on babe ?” He asks his wife.

“Aeliana’s little mean friend stabbed the kids’ trainer,” Danielle simply says, like she’s reading the morning news to him. “And she’s yelling now.”

Rowan cusses under his breath, “Fuck. You’ve got ro be kidding me.” He groans in annoyance, already helping himself inside the ring.

At the sight of him, Rita panics, ready to overexplain. “Beta, we were training and she-”

Rowan ignores her, staring at Aeliana. “Help me out of here, Rowan.”

“My God,” he hisses, crouching down beside her. Aeliana bites on a scream, and it comes out as a squeak when Rowan takes her into his arms, careful and urgent.

“You see,” Noah growls, glaring daggers at Rita and Gemma. “That’s not training.”

“Cut the ropes,” Rowan orders.

Noah reaches into her sports bra and pulls out a lighter which he uses to light up the ropes before anyone can get them undone. This woman is crazy, her behaviour is far from what you would expect from a person of her

intelligence, but the burning of ropes gets the job done. The three thick ropes snap in half, leaving the ring open on one end.

Before Rowan can help her out, Kingston comes running, bumping my shoulder in his haste to get to her. ” Aeliana,” he breathes, his gaze inspecting her. “What the hell happened here?” He asks, his eyes landing on me.

Oh. So he did notice me, but chose to ignore me. That realisation strikes a different pang in my chest. “Not me,” I raise my hands in defeat. “I didn’t do anything.”

Aeliana grabs his hand, his attention immediately shifting back to her. I can’t believe it, everything he used to do for me, he is doing for her. That soft look in his eyes that was reserved for me, the gentle hands, tone, it’s all hers now. She’s once again taken him from me, but I won’t stand for it this time.

“I twisted my ankle while training, and-”

“Are you okay?” He asks, his eyes searching hers, like she’s the only thing that matters.

“Yeah,” she smiles, “I’m fine.”

He tries to hold her, but she winces, her discomfort alarming him. “That’s dislocated,” he tells her, his eyes wide as he stares at her shoulder.

“I’ve got it,” she rasps, forcing a smile, but the pain creeps through the facade. I find some joy in that.

“Let me get Maddox, don’t move.” He tells her.

She moves.

She reaches for her shoulder with her good hand and pushes, popping it back in with a loud crack that grates against my nerves.

“Holy shit,” Danielle hisses, “What the fuck is she made of?”

“Wow,” someone gasps.
