Alpha’s Rue: His Shunned Luna (Athena Enchanted) novel Chapter 198

Chapter 198

Noah hooks her arm in mine. “Come on, you’re being a little harsh.”

“He called me an addict, my Noah.” I groan.

“Well I heard his side of the story, and I say we forgive him my Ellie. He made an honest, concerned mistake.” She says, spinning her way into my room where Audrey no longer is.

“Seriously?” I pause.

She shrugs, “He told me about the positive tests.”

“Once,” I admit. “And I was drugged.”

Noah frowns, propping herself against one of my pillows. “He said three.”

I join her on the bed, settling close to her. “One time, my Mom had caught us at a party we weren’t supposed to be at, and there were drugs, alcohol, and it was a crazy scene. The next morning, she had us tested for a lot of things, Seraphine would have tested positive and was getting shipped off to live with her aunt in some rundown pack, so I swapped our samples.”

“For your evil sister?” She frowns, “Why?”

“Because I was an idiot, and the third time was just an error or something, I’ve never taken drugs, my Noah.” I sigh, “I draw the line at cannabis and nicotine.”

“I know,” she smiles. “But why didn’t you tell that to Alpha Kingston? He seems to think otherwise.”

“Because no one listened to me,” I shrug. “No one asked if it was true, and when I finally spoke up, my father beat me because he thought I was taking him for a fool.”

“Oh, my Ellie.” Her smile falls, and she places a comforting hand on my thigh. “That’s so sad, but Alpha Kingston doesn’t know that he wouldn’t accuse you if he knew. You know how it is with addicts, you know they relapse repeatedly. He was looking out for you.”

I groan, hitting myself in the face with a pillow. “I fucking hate him.”

Noah laughs, snatching the pillow away. “You don’t.”

“I wish I did,” I sigh. “It would make everything so much easier.”

“So, forgive him?” She pouts, batting her lashes at me. “Please Mom, forgive Dad. I don’t like how sad you are when you fight with him.”

“Okay,” I laugh. “I guess I’ll hear him out when I see him again.”

She claps, motioning towards the door. “Well, go and make up.” She demands.

“Now?” I frown.

Yes,” she vigorously nods. “He is dying out there, put him out of his misery.”

“He can die a little more. His Audrey pissed me off.”

Noah frowns, “Want me to kill her?”

“Still no, but thank you for offering.”

Her shoulders fall, “I guess it’s the thought that counts?”

I shrug, “For now.”

Her eyes light up at that, “That means one day, she’s going to be fair game, and I can end her.”

I laugh. “How’s Darren?” I ask, shifting the conversation to something lighter, but Noah appears lost at the mention of him.

“Who?”

“Darren,” I repeat, slightly concerned she didn’t learn his name when the man has been in her bed all of five or more days. “The man who dropped me off last night.”

“Oh, him.” She nods, “He’s a gonner, I kicked him to the curb.”

I gasp, I thought we liked Darren, I thought he was going to be staying a long while, but with Noah, they never last. “My Noah, he was a good one.”

“He sure was, but he couldn’t fuck me right.” She sighs, “And the final straw was him fucking my thighs and then asking me why I wasn’t moaning when he finished.”

I can’t help the laughter that bursts out of me.
