Chapter 203
Betterthan mine? Really?
The room that his girlfriend decorated is better than mine? I want to scream at him, but I remember I’m sober, he isn’t. It’s nothing short of a waste. “One more word out of you, and you’re sleeping on the floor,” I warn, making a mental note to remind myself to bring it up tomorrow, along with how embarrassing it is for him to go out climbing mountains and screaming my name as if I died ten years ago.
His arm finds me again, “I want to sleep next to you. I want to sleep with my mate, how’s that?”
The way he calls me mate makes me forget how angry I was, and the way his eyes soften? Oh, I could just pass away. My lips twitch with a smile. “You’re lucky I’m feeling compassionate.”
“That’s good,” he says.
I take us down to my room, listening to him lecture me about my bad temper, and listing all the ways in which I am driving him insane, but he praises me too, tells me that he’d rather go insane with me than without me.
In my room, he crashes on the bed with his shoes on while I’m stretching out my limbs to ensure they’re not broken. “Okay, shoes off,” I say, doing it for him.
He doesn’t even try to move, he just lies there, talking about how much he loves my bed. Untrue. Because he prefers his, and has on more than one account tried to lure me there for the night, but I refuse to step foot in there.
I’ve only unbuckled his belt when Kingston dramatically gasps, “Oh my God, Luna Aeliana.” He grabs my hand, stopping me from unzipping his jeans. “That’s inappropriate.”
“Shut up,” I laugh. Once I get past the memory lapse he seems to be experiencing, I can truly see how playful he is. Once I’ve tossed his jeans onto the floor, I straddle him in an attempt to take off his shirt. “You have to take this off too.”
“I’m shy,” he grins. “I don’t want to show you my sick abs, but if you pay me a kiss, I’ll give you a peek. What do you say, Siren? Huh.”
I bite back a smile, cheeks heating up when he winks at me. “Stop playing, I’m tired, King.”
“So lie down with me,” he says, his arms pulling me onto his chest.
“Kingston!” I gasp, the amount of strength he just applied makes me wonder if he was just pretending to stagger all along. “Let me go.” I groan, trying to wiggle free.
“Shh, let me hold you Aeliana.” He squeezes me tighter. “Let me hold you before you disappear tomorrow morning.”
“I’m not disappearing,” I huff. “Can you at least let me breathe? You’re squeezing the shit out of me.”
He immediately shifts us onto our sides, his arms still secure around me. “Sorry, baby.” He breathes me in, his head nestling in the crook of my neck. “I just miss you so bad.”
“You’ve got to be kidding me.” I groan. How do I fall asleep when I can feel him against my ass? This isn’t in any way fair.
I try to move, just to put some distance between us, and he growls in disapproval. “Siren, stop it,” he grumbles. ” You’re making me hard.”
“Unbelievable,” I huff.

My body relaxes against his, and he slips a hand under my shirt, not teasing, just holding one of my breasts like a toy. It’s not long before he drifts into a deep sleep, snoring so close to my ear, and yet I can feel myself drifting off to sleep despite that. Just having him next to me is enough, nothing else matters. My insomnia appears to be cured.

I don’t know what time it is, but I wake up feeling overly tired. Aeliana is asleep beside me, lying on my arm and facing the other way. I don’t dare move even though my arm seems to have fallen asleep, I lie in the silence, staring up at the ceiling.
Eventually, the ache in my shoulder forces me up. I slide out from under her as carefully as I can, sure not to wake her. She stirs, murmuring something incoherent before she shifts closer to my pillow and buries her face in
I watch her for a moment, seeking the empty spot where I should be. It brings a smile to my face knowing she seeks me when I’m not here, it makes me never want to leave this bed again.
Before I head down to her bathroom, I press a gentle kiss on her forehead and I swear she smiles for a second. This isn’t my first drunk rodeo, so I know what to do to wake up my body, a cold shower should do half the job and later, plenty of coffee will do wonders for me to be able to carry on with the rest of my day.
I feel a bit more refreshed when I return to bed, and the sun is slowly rising, which means I’ll be needed anytime soon. Aeliana shifts until she finds me again, “Hmm,” she moans, her leg sliding over mine like she often does.” Mo..more, please.” She whispers.
