“We will never get to be in-laws, and if we do, your sick brother will fucking kill me.” She whisper-yells. “I can take just about anything, but I will not take him hitting me.”

“He did what?”

“He’s too rough,” she winces. “And it’s not even a kink, babe, it’s straight abuse. He is fucking sick, you’re fucking sick.”

“Stop it.”

“It’s true, you’re both worse off than Aeliana. I’m done playing this game,” she huffs. “There is no way in hell our sister pact will hold. I think it's time you realised that, stop feeding me delusions.”

“Seraphine, shut up,” I warn. I don’t know what has gotten into her, but she’s very annoying. She seems to have gained consciousness overnight, but she’s choosing the wrong day and person to inform.
