AUDREY
Seraphine and I are supposed to go shopping for winter coats, my closet is so last season and needs a revamp. I called her because she has the best style when it comes to coats, however, she hasn’t arrived yet.
Twenty minutes ago, while I was putting on my makeup, she texted to let me know she had arrived, but I haven’t seen her since then.
“Tina, where is Seraphine?” I ask her. She was downstairs until she came up here to get my laundry, so she must have seen her. “Has she not arrived?”
“She did, she is downstairs,” she nods. I assume she’s waiting outside, or maybe waiting downstairs, because Kingston practically kicked her out of the house when I brought her home from the hospital. I consider many options, but nothing prepares me for what Tina says. “With Alpha Kingston.”
I pause, my mascara slipping from my hand. “With who?”
“She’s with Alpha Kingston in his office,” Tina repeats.
“What?” I gasp, hurriedly slipping out of my chair. “Are you sure?”
“Yes.” She nods.
I immediately bolt, there’s no reason for Seraphine to be anywhere near Kingston, much less in his office. After yesterday’s incident, he doesn’t even want to look at any Hartleys. I overheard him telling Damien he was going to kill the whole Hartley family if Aeliana’s father tried something again.
Downstairs, I creep to Kingston’s office, the door is open, so I can see Seraphine and Kingston. Her perfume hits me first, strong and sweet.
Seraphine is on her knees in front of him, he has his back turned to me, so I can’t make out his expression, but she’s right there, tits nearly poking out her dress, and her dress so short that if she rises the wrong way, he will catch a glimpse of her panties—if she has any.
The sight infuriates me instantly, and when Kingston tells her it’s fine, the horror of what she's offered him claws at my chest. I grab her the second she is out the door, dragging her upstairs with me.
“What the fuck are you doing?” I snap.
“I was just apologising to him for keeping Aeliana hidden.” She sulks, massaging her wrist.
I pause, staring her up and down once more. She didn't come here for me, no, not in this dress, this is the kind of dress that gets a ride around the town, it’s not a dress you wear to apologise. Unless…. “You’re trying to fuck him.” I gasp.
Her eyes widen. “Wh-wha-what?”
