I love wedding parties, especially the ones hosted in the original ‘The Lotus’, the first ever hotel Kingston opened. The place is great for parties, and best of all, one can always crash in the rooms on the third floor if they get tired.

Tonight should be one of the best nights I've had in a while, a night to unwind, but when I see Audrey, my mood is ruined entirely.

“I can’t believe he invited her,” I groan.

“She’s one of the bridesmaids,” Rowan snickers. Even he tagged along as my plus one after finding out Kingston and I were both coming tonight.

“Well, I’m the groom’s friend,” I huff. “He could at least make that little of a sacrifice for me, its his fault I was in that situation.”

Kingston pauses, “Teddy didn’t shove your dick in Audrey, did he?”

“Do not speak of it,” I shiver, the memory too fresh and appalling still. “I’m itching still, I don’t feel clean enough.”

“Oh please,” he says with an eyeroll, his eyes glued to the table where Aeliana is mingling with any and everyone who complimented her dress when we entered. She is enjoying the attention, and Evelyn is there for damage control, making sure no one knows their Luna recently lost her mind.

“Seriously, my wolf was begging to escape to a new body.”

“Here,” Rowan shoves a beer at my chest.

“I’m not drinking,” I declare. I drank a lot last night, and it landed me in bed with the devil. I do not bed women like Audrey. Something about her just unnerves my soul, but under the haze of alcohol, I fucked her. “I am never touching another drop of alcohol when that predator is in the room,” I say, watching her at the open bar, laughing with the man she’s been parading all of town. Does he know what happened? Is it normal in their relationship? Because she wasn’t scared or regretful at all when I woke up.

“Maddox,” Rowan sighs heavily. “I think you very much enjoyed your time with both women. The staff was gossiping about it.”

I quickly turn to Kingston. “Forbid them.”
