Chapter 497
AELIANA
One moment, I’m pinned against the shower glass door and the next, I’m being shaken. “You’ve got to wake up, Siren.” The very voice that was moaning my name whispers, “Baby..” he kisses my forehead.
My eyes flutter open and it takes me a moment before I realise that I’m fresh out of a dream, because I’m staring right at the man who was fucking my brains out just a moment ago. Confusion fogs my brain and I close my eyes again. “Ellie, baby, you haven’t taken your medicine.” He says, “Just because it worked doesn’t mean you stop now.”
My medication.
I open my eyes again, more of reality pulling me awake. I was so tired that after dinner, I forced Kingston to take a shower with me and then I lay in bed to call Noah. I must have fallen asleep then and started conjuring Kingston up in my dreams, where he isn’t afraid to touch me.
“Open your mouth,” He softly says, holding mt head up. When I do, he puts the pills on my tongue and gives me water to drink. “Good girl, go back to sleep now.” He says, his tone whispering as he helps me lay my head down again. I catch him moving around the room shirtless and in his pyjama pants, the fabric clinging to his crotch.
God, I am such a thirsty whore lately, but desperate? That’s a line that I’m yet to cross with him. Keyword, yet.
I keep watching him, he moves about the room with ease, and he’s so good to look at. I don’t even know what he’s doing, but his arms flexed like that cut off one of my brain cells. “Kingston, come to bed,” I say. It’s not a request, but an order, and he doesn’t think twice before he drops the file in his hand onto the sofa and walks over to me.
“I know you’re tired, baby. But I couldn’t let you go to bed without taking your medicine,” he tells me, lying down beside me, his arms stretched wide for me.
Yeah. Yeah.
Medicine, cool story. Not as cool as his chest. II’m more invested in touching him than his apology. “It’s fine, “I wave him off, I groan, tracing the tattoos on his chest, all the way down his abs then back up. “I was missing you anyway.”
His lips curve into a smile. “You were asleep.”
“I know,” I sigh, touching him still, my fingers moving up and down his chest in what I can only describe as desperate, but my mate seems to have gone dumb and can no longer pick up on my cues. “I missed you in my sleep. I hate how much I miss you lately, it’s almost unhealthy.”
He yawns, his arm gently rubbing the small of my back. Irritated, I shift, turning in his arms, my back to his chest so I don’t keep touching him like it’s the first time that I’ve had him shirtless in bed. “You okay?” He asks, pulling me closer, his head nestling in the crook of my mind and his hand protectively resting on my belly.
“I don’t think I can sleep,” I suck in a breath.
His hand slips under my shirt, holding my belly from the inside. “Why not?” He murmurs, his hand travelling further up my chest. He doesn’t hesitate until his palm covers my breasts.
