Nearly five days after my birthday and I’m still receiving and opening presents. King told his father that the baby had started kicking, and we received three soccer balls this morning, not baby balls, but no actual soccer balls from his collection, which he holds sacred. Very famous and legendary players sign them, and when I tried to return them, he claimed they’re for his grandkids to play with. It’s not the first or last, he just hands out thousand-dollar balls for children to play with.

Since Kingston and his Father are travelling somewhere today, I decided to return Noah’s car and treat her to lunch while I’m at it. I got to leave my nurse at home, but Anastasia came along because her job description is following Noah around twenty-four

“This is a lovely restaurant,” Anastasia remarks. “Are you sure we don’t need a reservation, Luna Aeliana?”

“Nope,” I shake my head. “I’ve eaten here a couple of times, they do reserve tables for certain crowds and events, but you can just walk in sometimes.”

“Oh mo,” Noah groans, turning me around. “Let’s get out of here.”

“Why?”

“Danielle is here,” she mumbles. “She is sitting in the corner with River.”

I immediately turn. “They can see you,” I whisper, waving at them. It’s River who I catch watching us, confusion evident on her

face.

“Damn it.” Noah turns again, waving at them too. “Now we can’t leave.”

“Why are you so nervous about seeing Danielle?” I frown, already pulling her to their table. “I thought you guys were fine now.”

“If by fine you mean we haven’t talked since she made me come and had Rowan lick me clean, then yes. We’re fine.”

“You have a scan tomorrow and you invited her. You’ll definitely be seeing her, and lucky you, it won’t get awkward because I’m here, so is Anastasia and River!” I squeal when I reach her table. “What’s up sister inlaw.”
