Chapter 73
AELIANA
I wake up sometime in the morning, my body is warm, but my heart has never been colder. I don’t remember falling asleep, but everything before then is clear as day. Kingston’s tattoo stares at me, taunting me. Her face flashes in my mind, but this time, I don’t cry, I simply look away. Kingston is no longer knotted inside me, but I can feel him inside me, hard still.
The second I feel my pussy squeezing around him, I move. His arms wrap around me, “Can you stay still?” He groans, hardly awake.
“Why?” I ask, trying to slip out of his grip without any success.
“We just shared a beautiful moment, Ellie.” He sighs, finally letting go. “Don’t ruin it.’
I slip away, dropping beside him. “Right, me.” I scoff. “Because I ruin things, I’m sorry, Kingston.” I sigh, clutching the sheets to my chest. “I didn’t know my wanting to get up so I can find myself some she-wolf birth control would ruin things.”
He pauses, staring like I just revealed I stole the keys to his kingdom. “Why is that such a priority? Are you scared of getting pregnant? It’s inevitable.”
“I’d rather not. That would be the dumbest complication I ever brought on myself. I can’t afford a child.”
“Afford?” He frowns, “I think we’re equipped to afford one to ten kids. Do you doubt my ability to take care of my children?”
He doesn’t get it. I don’t mean financially affording them, neither one of us is ready for that responsibility, not together.
“And what complications are you talking about, Aeliana? You’re my wife, why would-”
“Only when it benefits you,” I smile, because if I don’t, I might cry again. “And that’s insane because I’m not your wife when she’s around us, I’m not your wife when you’re fucking her, am I? And I sure as hell wasn’t your wife when you let me walk over six fucking hours to get a place i didnt have a fucking clue about!” I snap, my hands shaking. “I wasn’t your wife when I spent our wedding night alone while you were in her arms, I’m not your wife when-”
“Aeliana, calm down.” His jaw drops, eyes searching mine with evident confusion. “What the fuck is wrong with you?”
“So much, but right now?” I swallow, trying to calm myself down but I can’t get over how stupid I acted yesterday. “It’s knowing I begged you to fuck me without any protection, I begged you to fuck me and you let me while knowing where else you stick that monster.” I almost scream, kicking his feet.
Kingstin sighs, “I’m not sleeping with you both.”
“Of course not, just her.” I roll my eyes, tugging the sheet closer to me. “This was a mistake.”
“Aeliana,” he gasps. I step out of the bed, leaving him naked.
“Don’t,” I warn. “Please don’t talk to me right now, I need to get some air.” I pace the room, looking for my shirt.
I don’t find my shirt so I go to the bathroom and pick one from my laundry basket. Kingston is still in the same spot I left him, staring with the same dumbfounded look. “Can you tell me what the hell-‘

“Just leave me alone,” I wave him off, heading towards the door.
“Where are you going?”
“Out,” I snap.
“Don’t you think you’re overacting?”
I pause, my hand on the door and I look over my shoulder. “You’re right,” I nod. “Tell me I’m not a tease.”
He blinks, still confused. “What?”
“Just do it,” I demand, most definitely appearing like a whiny child right now.
Kingston’s face furrows and he blinks. “You’re not a tease?”
“I’m not,” I nod. “You said that I was teasing your dick, so I remedied that. I don’t know why you felt that way but I took care of things. We’ve had sex.”
He nods, looking alive but I know his brain will fall asleep the second she’s with him. “Great sex.”
I shrug, “Sufficient.”
“Excuse me?”
I swallow, the lie clogging up my throat. I haven’t been fucked my whole sex life but admitting it to him feels wrong, it’s a vulnerability I won’t let set. “Think of it as I had an itch that I needed scratched, and I did just that. Thanks for being available.”
