Chapter 78
“Of course, Noah Fern is originally from the RedMoon pack, both parents are fully blooded wolves, Father is a former Beta. She is his lovechild with a human woman who passed during childbirth, her records come off as human despite her being a hybrid.” He tells me, “She is a year older than Luna Aeliana but the two are very close, they even tutored classes together.”
I nod, still stuck on the gender of her. “So she’s a smart girl?”
“All her friends are,” he says, and its expect no less, Aeliana is gifted, it’s normal she would surround herself with those who can challenge her intellect. “Luna’s friends appear ordinary but they’re all exceptionally gifted, despite their wealthy backgrounds and spoiled attitudes, they take their education seriously.”
“Anything else? A boyfriend? Lover?”
“There are a few prospects, I’ve narrowed it down to-”
“How many?” I demand.
“Does that matter?” Rowan chimes in, “Why are you looking to hurt yourself with that? How many she dated doesn’t matter.”
Wrong.
It does, it matters which one of them holds her heart still. “Marvin?”
“Eight,” he swallows. “But I’m not sure.”
“Get sure.”
He nods, “Yes, Alpha.”
“Look into Noah again,” I tell him. “And get in touch with the biggest university in the pack, one she would be interested in.”
“May I ask why?”
I lean back in my chair, “We’re getting your Luna a friend.’
Marvin frowns, “Huh?”
“She’s been particularly prickly and lonely, having a familiar friendly face might help with her moods.”
Marvin nods, looking at the photo of Aeliana and Noah. Girl. “But Miss Noah can be trouble, she’s a little on the party side, no rules side, no consequences either.”
“It’ll be handled, just make sure you get me my necessary info.”
“Yes, Alpha.”
“You may go,” I dismiss him.
Marvin nods, promising to be back soon even if he has to travel to Clinshore himself for more information. When the door closes behind him, Rowan hums in disapproval. “This thing that you’re doing…”
“What about it?” I ask, already hearing the judgment in his tone.
His head turns my way, handing off the sofa. “Are you hoping bringing Aeliana’s friend here will get you back in

her good graces? or simply put her to bed?”
I scoff, getting Aeliana into bed is the last thing on my mind. It’s there, but it hasn’t taken priority over trying to bring her some happiness. “I’m not doing this for that, I don’t help sleeping with my wife.”
Rowan rolls his eyes, a knowing smile on his lips. “Oh, so this is purely out of kindness?”
“Yes.”
“It doesn’t have anything to do with the fact that she’s upset with you and Audrey?”
I shrug. “That’s not new, she always is.”
“And you didn’t think to change that?” He asks, straightening in his seat.
“I don’t know what to do Rowan,” I heavily sigh. “I try to be nice, I try to make conversation to mediate, but she shuts me out. She scolds me, and calls me stinky.” I snarl. That one comment has started to affect me lately. “I’ve changed my hygiene routine twice, I changed my cologne, I changed it all and she still called me smelly,” I
confess.
Rowan snickers, “You are such an idiot, King.”
“What?”
“When does she say that to you?” He asks, his tone reluctant, like he doesn’t believe me. He laughs every time I ask him if I smell foul.
I pause, recounting every time she said i stink. “When we kiss, when I get close, she just—”
“She’s not lying,” he sighs. “You do infact stink.”
“Really?” My mouth hangs open, raising my arm to sniff beneath. “And you’re just saying it now?”
