Blake unbuttoned his shirt and took it off. Desire burnt inside me.

He didn’t understand how much his nakedness affected me. I bite my

lip and looked at his chest. There was a little plastic wrap over his

wolf tattoo. He slowly peeled it off exposing the 2 howling wolves.

“You never told me why you have 2 wolves there now? You had one

didn’t you?” I looked at the tattoo remembering the time he had told

me it was a frat thing.

“The wolves are a symbol of power. Because I come with an Alpha

bloodline, I get a wolf symbol. Dad and grandad have them as well. So

does Max because he is still part of the bloodline. But when you find

your mate, it becomes 2, symbolising the Alpha and the Luna. The

tattoo appears itself, however, you have to get the other part done.”

There that word was again. Luna? I still didn’t really understand why

I was a Luna.

“What other part?” I looked at the tattoo more carefully.

There between the wolf and the barbwire was my name. I

I looked up at Blake. He had my name permanently inked into his

body as part of something so crucial to his people.

Tears formed in the corner of my eyes. I had been so mean to him

and all he was doing was just trying to keep me safe and happy.

“Hey, why the tears, Angel. I told you I would do this. I just thought

it would be a nice surprise. I’m sorry! Did you not like it?!” He cupped

my face and stared down at me with tender eyes.

“I love it. It’s beautiful. I’m the one that should be sorry about all

this. You’ve been nothing but nice and I’m mad at you about

something that wasn’t even in your control. I’m so sorry” tears

started to spill out and Blake wiped them away with his thumb.

“No Angel no. It’s okay. You were right, I should have told you

regardless of the chances of it happening. You deserve to know

everything and before you make any more decisions on our life

together, you need to know.” He let me go and pulled me onto the

couch. He sat on the table in front of me, holding my hands in his.

There was an uneasiness in my belly.

“I know mums kind of explained who a Luna is. Just like the Alpha,

the Luna helps look after the pack. Her job is to look after the mental and physical health and well–being of the pack. Making sure she listens to all the problems and comes up with solutions for them. She’s the Alpha’s support and keeps him sane”

“Yes I understand all that, but you’re not an Alpha yet. Then why

was I referred to as Luna?” I was so confused.

“Because I am an Alpha, Angel. Dad and you were having a

conversation that I interrupted a few days ago. The conversation

about Pops stepping down as the King of the East. Do you

remember?”

I nodded and swallowed loudly. Where was he going with this?

“The conversation about how the King of the East controls all the

packs in the eastern territory?”
