“It’s going to be a big expensive wedding! I’m so looking forward

to this. Hot bridesmaids in skimpy dresses. Yes!” Rocky laughed and

took his shot.

“Hot bridesmaids? Dude, you remember you have a mate, right?”

Blake laughed.

“Oh, I remember. My gorgeous mate will be the hot bridesmaid.”

Rocky wrapped his arms around Taylor and squeezed her. She

squicked and laughed.

It was so nice seeing my best friends so happy. Now that they could

finally finish their mating, they were openly more loving.

“Hey, hey! Rosy has said nothing about that just yet. So don’t get

your hopes up.”

“Since when do I have to say something? Umm hello! You will be

my Maid of Honor. You shouldn’t have to be told bitch. Get in the

boat and row!” I wagged my finger at her.

They all laughed at me.

don’t know how attached Blake is to his current furniture, but I would

like some nice new things in our new place.”

“You two are moving?” Rocky filled up his shot glass. Between

Blake and Rocky, they had almost finished the bottle of tequila and

were still very sober.

“Hey, it was your idea! Change of scenery. Remember?” I laughed.

“Oh yes, yes! We could get one of the mages to bless the place so

you can not have unexpected guests.”

“So that’s where you got this idea from. Dude, really? You could

have come up with anything else. Now I have to buy a new place. You

better chip in!” Blake reached across the table and smacked Rocky’s

shoulder.

“Umm, sorry! Asshole, you can afford it. What’s the point of

millions of dollars if you can’t spend it.”

“Billions,” Blake corrected and downed his drink.

“You’re kidding, right?” Taylor’s face looked priceless. She

obviously didn’t know the net value of the Coopers. Technically

neither did I.

The food arrived, and I needed to pee. Memories of the last time I

went to the toilets alone flooded my head, and I was suddenly

panicking.

“Angel, what’s wrong?” Blake could sense my panic.

“I need to go to the toilet.”

“Come on” he got up and gave me his hand.

Taylor and Rocky looked at us but didn’t comment.

Blake guided me to the back where the bathrooms were. Lucky for

“I’ll wait for you out here, Angel. You’ll be fine, okay” he caressed

my cheek with his thumb and gave me a gorgeous smile.

I nodded and quickly went inside.

After I was done, I came back out to find Blake leaning against the

wall exactly where I had left him.

He sensed me right away and held out his hand for me to take. I

eagerly took it and cuddled into his side. He started walking but in a

different direction. Anxiety began to rise in me as he led me behind

the bar towards a supply closet.

Oh lord, was it even Blake? Has Max come back?!
