An Affair With The Ceo (Natasha and Jared) novel Chapter 104

Chapter 104 Get Divorced Early

Chapter 104 Get Divorced Early

‘Even if I can’t explain it clearly, I still have to try, thought Natasha.

Natasha definitely didn’t want people thinking she was flirting with her boss in broad daylight at the office.

‘This is all his fault for purposely tempting me just now, Natasha thought again.

She said, “Let me go. Stop holding me. You said you’d give me three days. I haven’t agreed to anything yet,” said Natasha.

She twisted in his embrace, her anger clear as day.

Natasha punched his chest, gritting out, “This is all your fault.”

She kept hitting his chest, her movements full of resentment.

“Who said you could sneak around and date other guys behind my back?” said Jared, frowning.

Natasha was speechless for a moment, then shot back, “What date?

“Besides, Percy isn’t just some random guy. He’s my husband.”

‘Even if I was going out with my husband, that’s normal, right? Why does he care?’ Natasha thought.

“No dates, not even with your husband,” Jared said, sounding obviously jealous.

Natasha rolled her eyes at him. “You’re seriously overstepping.”

He was just her boss. He had no right to stick his nose into her personal business, especially about her dates with her husband.

But Jared locked eyes with her, his gaze dead serious. “So, when are you going to divorce your husband?”

Natasha was silent.

She’d been irritated before, but hearing him actually ask about her divorce? She was downright furious.

She was planning to get divorced today.

But now, thanks to Jared, everything was messed up.

She was done talking to him. She didn’t want to waste another word.

Annoyed, she punched him hard and stormed off.

Jared thought Natasha was hesitating about the divorce, and he got anxious.

He grabbed her and pulled her back.

“Having second thoughts about leaving him?” Jared teased.

“Leaving him? Not a chance,” Natasha snapped.

Natasha shot him an annoyed glare.

Jared’s hazel eyes narrowed slightly.

His lips curled into a faint smile.

‘Does that mean she’s willing to get divorced?’ Jared wondered.

Jared murmured, “Good girl, hurry up and get divorced. I’ll be waiting for you.”

He leaned in, his lips brushing her ear as he whispered, coaxing her with that irresistible tone.

Natasha pursed her lips, glaring at him.

Of course, she was going to divorce Percy. She didn’t need Jared telling her what to do.

She thought, ‘But what did he mean by saying he’d wait for me?

‘Is he planning to make a move on me once I’m single?

‘Clearly, I can’t let him in on my divorce plans.’

“I need to get back to work,” Natasha said, trying to change the subject.

But Jared kept his grip tight around her waist, refusing to let her go.

“Gordon’s case has everything to do with Joelle,” Jared said, his voice low and serious. “Now that he’s awake, he’s trying to dodge the blame by telling the cops Joelle was the mastermind behind what happened to you.”

His hazel eyes were dark and probing as he watched her, testing her response.

Natasha knew that if she wanted to clear Joelle, all it would take was a single word from her.

But she wasn’t about to let Joelle off the hook that easily.

This wasn’t the first time Joelle had tried to hurt her.

“He’s not wrong,” Natasha said, her gaze sharp as she narrowed her eyes.

She made it clear she wasn’t about to make excuses for Joelle.

“So you’re not going to step in for Joelle?” Jared asked, his gaze deep and searching as he watched her. Natasha answered with a cool detachment, “I’ll let things play out as they should. I’m always a law-abiding citizen.”

Her meaning was obvious. If Joelle broke the law, she’d have to face the consequences.

Natasha thought, ‘Why does everyone in the Whittier family turn a blind eye and let Joelle get away with hurting me? ‘Joelle even pushed another guy to force himself on me. Am I supposed to forgive her as if nothing happened?’ “Alright, I’ll make sure the police handle things officially,” Jared said, nodding as he caught Natasha’s meaning.

Herbert had checked with Natasha yesterday and asked how she wanted to deal with Joelle.

He’d originally planned to press charges.

But since Joelle was Natasha’s sister, he wanted to get her opinion first.

By evening, Natasha was planning to head over and see Percy right after work.

She wanted to figure out when they’d go to City Hall next to finally get the divorce done.

But then, out of nowhere, she got a call from Collin.

“Natasha, you need to come-home right now. Roxanne is trying to kick your mom out of the house,” Collin blurted out, his voice urgent.

Natasha’s heart clenched at the news.

She didn’t waste a second. She jumped in her car and sped straight to Whittier Manor.

As soon as Natasha stepped inside, she saw Sandra, her mother, kneeling on the floor, prostrating herself before Roxanne. “Roxanne, please don’t throw me out. My children are still here in the Whittier family. I can’t bear to leave them…” Sandra begged, her voice shaking with desperation.

Roxanne shot her a cold, piercing glare. “Children? Get it straight. You only gave birth to Natasha, that brat. Collin was raised by me. He’s always been mine, and he’s listed under my name. He’s my real son. He has nothing to do with you.” Sandra’s voice shook with pain and helplessness. “But I carried him for nine months and suffered so much to bring him into this world. Roxanne, please, at least let me stay because I gave birth to Collin. Don’t kick me out.”

Roxanne let out a cold, heavy snort. “If it weren’t for Collin, do you think Bernard and I would’ve let you and your brat stick around this long?”

She’d been itching to kick Sandra out of the house for ages.

She still hadn’t made Sandra pay for hooking up with Bernard behind her back all those years ago.

If Sandra hadn’t given birth to Collin, she wouldn’t have gotten to be the second Mrs. Whittier, not a chance.

“And your daughter, huh? Some gratitude. She stabbed us in the back and got Joelle thrown behind bars,” said Roxanne. Her face twisted with fury. “Aren’t you so attached to your precious girl?

“Then take that wretched Natasha and get out of Whittier Manor, both of you!

“From now on, don’t you dare call yourselves part of the Whittier family.”

“No, Roxanne, please, I’m begging you…” Sandra sobbed, reaching out to clutch at Roxanne’s pant leg.

But Roxanne kicked her aside, showing no mercy.

Sandra had just gotten out of the hospital, and her body was still frail.

After Roxanne kicked her, she crumpled to the floor and lay there for a long time, unable to get back up.

“Mom!” Natasha cried out.

She dashed over to Sandra.

She tried to help Sandra up, but Sandra shook her off.

For a split second, Sandra’s eyes looked cold and distant, as if Natasha were a stranger to her.
