Her heart was a mess, just like it was now.

She kept pushing away Jared’s touch, but every time he teased her, she felt her defenses crumble, unable to fight the heat rising inside her.

Jared’s breath was hot and heavy, his chest rising and falling with each ragged inhale.

Natasha tilted her head back without thinking, her legs instinctively wrapping around his long legs and narrow waist, pulling him closer.

His kiss left her weak and boneless.

All she could do was wrap her arms around his neck and cling tightly to his body.

But she had no idea that every move she made only stoked the fire burning inside him.

Jared’s hands were like fire, setting her whole body ablaze with every touch.

Natasha instinctively shied away. “Don’t…”

Jared slipped her dress off, his voice deep and husky. “You were the one teasing me first!”

Natasha blinked, her eyes wide with innocent confusion.

‘How exactly did I tease him?’ she thought to herself. ‘Wasn’t it only a kiss? If I’d known he’d react like this, I never would’ve kissed him.’

Jared swept her up into his arms.

He placed her on the large bed in her room and began to unbutton his shirt, starting from the top button and working his way down, one by one, in a deliberate and unhurried manner.

Natasha had barely sat up on the bed before Jared wrapped her in his arms…

“You haven’t…” Natasha stammered, her voice trembling with nervous urgency.

As soon as the words left her lips, Jared abruptly released her waist.

Natasha saw him reach into his pocket and take something out….

Her eyes widened in surprise.

‘So he was actually ready for this, she thought.

She barely had time to resist before Jared pressed her down onto the bed, kissing her fiercely, not holding back at all.

“Satisfied?” Jared’s Adam’s apple bobbed slightly as he fixed his gaze on her eyes and asked.

Natasha’s face flushed crimson…

His ragged breaths echoed in her ears.

Jared was hell-bent on making up for all the time she’d left him wanting these past few days.

A sliver of afternoon sunlight slipped through the curtains.

Natasha woke up, her body aching all over from last night.

She felt a man’s arm wrap around her waist, both domineering and gentle.

Scenes from last night came rushing back to her.

Her pretty face was flushed with shy embarrassment.

Last night, she and Jared hooked up again.

Unlike last time when she was having a dissociative episode and just went along with it, this time, she was totally clear- headed. She knew exactly what she was doing.

She figured it was just two grown-ups, each taking care of their own needs, and after they’d satisfied each other, that would be the end of it.

But she hadn’t expected that when she woke up, Jared was still lying in her bed.

And not just that. He was holding her from behind, his arms wrapped around her, keeping her close.

They were both naked, nothing between them but skin.

If this had happened before, Natasha probably would’ve felt awkward.

But now, she didn’t really care anymore.

It wasn’t their first time, after all.

There was no reason to feel awkward about it.

Jared was still asleep, his hot breath gently brushing against the skin behind her ear.

Natasha gave a little shiver without even realizing it.

She was worried he might pounce on her again, even in broad daylight.

She carefully slipped out of his embrace, got out of bed, and headed to the bathroom to freshen up.

When she came out, she dug through her things and found a dress she’d brought with her.

The floor-length mirror showed off her sleek, graceful silhouette.

Natasha was fastening the buttons on her dress when she suddenly felt an intense gaze fixed on her.

She glanced in that direction and saw that Jared was already awake, watching her.

At that moment, he was leaning back against the headboard, looking at her with a lazy, knowing gaze.

His broad shoulders narrowed down to a trim waist, his sides smooth and defined, those sharp V-lines framing his rock- hard abs.

A thin blanket was just draped over him, and he was casually smoking a cigarette.

He took a slow drag with smug satisfaction, giving her a lazy, sultry look that lingered in the air between them.

“When did you wake up?” Natasha asked, frowning at him through the floor-length mirror.

With half his cigarette already burned down, it was obvious he’d been up for a while.

‘Did he see me naked when I walked out of the bathroom?’ Natasha couldn’t help but wonder.

She’d assumed he was still asleep, so after her shower, she just walked out stark naked to get dressed.

‘Turns out, he’d played me, Natasha thought to herself.

“The second you slipped out of my arms,” Jared replied, a lazy smirk on his lips.

The smoke blurred his handsome features, giving him an aura of smoldering restraint that made him even more irresistible..

He’d actually been awake for a while.

He just wanted to hold her a little longer, so he stayed in bed.

The moment Natasha slipped out of his arms, Jared felt an emptiness where she’d been, and his heart felt just as hollow.

“You!” Natasha whipped around, her pretty eyes blazing as she glared at him.

‘So he really was faking it; Natasha thought, her irritation spiking.

Jared’s intense gaze was fixed on her, not looking away for a second.

“Did you sleep well last night?” he asked, his voice low and teasing.

Natasha just hummed, not really giving him an answer.

‘After everything we did last night, it’d be impossible not to sleep well; Natasha thought.

“I’m going down for breakfast,” she said.

She couldn’t stay in the same room with him any longer. The way Jared was eyeing her was downright predatory, like he was still hungry for her after last night.

All she wanted now was to head downstairs, grab something to eat, and escape his hungry stare.

“I’m afraid it’s too late for that!” Jared called out from behind her.

Natasha paused mid-step. “Why is it too late?”

Jared raised an eyebrow. “We’re heading back home today. Our flight takes off in just two hours.”

And it would take almost an hour to get from the hotel to the airport.

They still had to pack up, check out, and get through security… There was no way they could make it in just an hour. Natasha blurted out, “Why didn’t you tell me sooner?”

She thought they’d be staying in Majestika for a few more days.
